We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2017. A bit of a mammoth hike from the central station due to all of the bridges (yet do-able in approx 25/30 minutes), alternatively the expensive waterbus will take you to ponte rialto and from there its maybe a 3/4 minute walk. Lovely bedroom and clean bathroom (strange shower door - this...

Excellent B&B style accommodation in a great location. Very clean and well appointed rooms with continental breakfast served on a tray in your room. Great value for a central Venice hotel, literally 2 minutes walk from Rialto Bridge and less than 10 minutes from St Marks square. Would certainly stay again.

Just got back from a 2 night stay. Lovely little hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We arrived early after walking past it about 3 times! We couldn't check in until 2pm which wasn't a problem as you can leave your luggage there and come back at the right time. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed in it,...

This hotel is very well located - for seeing venice. Few minutes from vaporetto stop, Rialto bridge and San Marco. Front desk staff were very helpful. The room that we stayed in was on the top of the stairs. Very cute and clean. Breakfast in the hotel is substantial. But there are good cafe near the hotel. Highly recommend this...

Pros: - located 2 minutes from Rialto vaporetto station, 5 minutes from San Marco. Shops, restaurants are in the neighbourhood. - clean room and bathroom and just enough space for 4 persons in a family room - superb water temperature and pressure in the shower - basic, but plentiful continental breakfast served to your room. No cooked breakfast option however...

We stayed here for 3 nights and what a fantastic little hotel this is. Location wise it's minutes away from the rialto and St Marks square. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the continental breakfast which is served to your room is a good start to the day. I haven't given this 5 rating for 1 reason. The stairs...

We stayed for 5 nights so had time to get a good view of the hotel. The location is excellent for visiting all the major sites Venice has to offer, and there are many, as well as being close to the Rialto Vaparetto stop. We stayed in two rooms and both were recently redecorated and therefore in very good condition...

We liked this hotel, loved the breakfast and staff. Location so convenient. Lovely decor and great bathroom, comfy bed and good TV reception. Charming antiques. One caution for elderly: no elevator. But you could request room with only one flight of stairs. Great place for the low prices.

Residenza Goldoni is a small and nice hotel in the real center of Venice. The staff is really friendly and the continental breakfast is served into the room. Delicious coffee and pastry. The room is really small, but clean and well decorated.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Residenza Goldoni is a charming and cozy guesthouse in the very heart of Venice, just a few steps far from the famous "Rialto bridge": you can smell the authentic Venice and be member of the beauty of our incredible town. Our guesthouse lies on 4 floors, without lift, so we will be glad to help you with heavy bags to climb them: top floor rooms, called "Mansarde" have nice exposed beans which are so romantic you will get crazy in love with them! The entire structure has free wifi connection, air conditioning, flat tv and all rooms are ensuite (with shower or tube). Breakfast is served every morning inside your room, but in spring time and summer time it is possible (on request if available) sit outside on the third floor, to enjoy your breakfast in our nice terrace.
