Charming little hotel near St Marks. Room is very comfortable and breakfast delivered every morning to the room. Hotel director speaks wonderful English. Stop thinking, book it. Just take note of the address. Do not rely on your Sat Nov as Google have the street wrong.

We found this hotel using trip advisor so it's only appropriate we pay it forward.. Very surprised when we arrived as I suppose I was expecting it to have smaller rooms and not be as nice. We received directions by email and they were spot on, we had no dramas finding the hotel. Breakfast was sufficient, being from Australia it...

If you love short city breaks, you'll appreciate the pains and frustrations, along with the 'ummmming' and 'arrrrrrring' when cautiously considering options that tick all the boxes! This is just the place. A real gem of a find, underated and probably underpriced, this has everything for an intimate, authentic, traditional stay right in the heart of Venice, with all the...

We were only staying here for one night but were arriving late. The hotel was very accommodating and gave clear instructions. The hotel room was very Venetian and the location was great - very close to the square with all the restaurants and bars. Venice itself is very expensive so i'd recommend going to a restaurant slightly further back from...

Lovely little hotel/B&B in a good location in Venice. Make sure you look at the directions on the website on how to get there. Great host and a cute little room except the double bed was very small and was uncomfortable for 2 people. Definitely not a North American size double. If you're larger than normal it won't work. The...

Stayed two days with my wife early April 2016. Great location and interesting place. Clean, reasonably priced and would recommend. First thing I would say though is many thanks to a previous reviewer who stressed making sure you have the directions supplied on the hotels website. Venice is the easiest place to get lost in I have ever been, so...

Lovely clean hotel. We had a family room and only used it to shower and sleep so was more than adequate. Comprised of a double bed and two singles. TV available in the room. Free wifi with great connection. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Perfect location.

Elisabetta is a warm and friendly host. The room we had was small (as advertised, can’t complain) but the bathroom was quite large. Bed was small, haven’t slept in a small double for quite some time. The location of the B&B is great, right in San Marco, 5 minutes walk from St Marks. Internet is free and good. Fortunately the...

Having spent a week in Venice for valentines, I found the hotel to meet most of our needs; it was comfortable, warm, clean and quiet with an average size bathroom and Venetian decor. We found the hotel from Rialto bridge using google maps. It was an easy walking distance. The staff are very accommodating - cleaning the room once we...

The hotel is near Rialto and St.Angelos vaporetto stop, and a 10' walk from St Marcos square , in a quite street. Our room, 106, was small with a hidden window,so I wouldn't recommend this room, unless you are unable to go up the stairs. It was clean, warm, with very hot water, confortable big bed and great Wi-fi. The breakfast was typical continental, next time I...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
