It's okay. It is a room in an appartment in which you share with 2 other sets of people. It's not really like a b&b. There were no staff when we were there. And you share the bathroom and kitchen with the 2 other sets of people. If you went with a group and booked all three rooms then this...

When we arrived there was no one present. We called the number provided and were instructed to follow the path to the restaurant. Once arrived at said restaurant we were escorted to the building and shown to our room. Basically the "hotel room" consists of one bed and a very tiny television. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with two...

Perfect place to stay in Venice. Not expensive but it's clean, warm and has a nice interior. And it's really near by water bus stop and some attractions like Rialto bridge. Also you'll get a 20% discount in the great atmospheric restaurant "Poste Vecie" which is near by B&B.

When we arrived at the B&B there was no one present, until we called the phone number provided. The person that arrived was helpful with our luggage. However this was the only person we saw throughout our 3 night stay, which made us feel it was more of an apartment than a B&B. We found the water cold throughout our...

An apartment in a typical Venetian block (with impressive entrance) has been converted into a 3 bedroom small B&B. We had the room with ensuite facilities, the other two shared a bathroom. It was all very clean. The kitchen of the apartment is where you get breakfast - help yourself to what is left then do your own washing up....

Just a place that you can sleep closed to centrum. This is The only avantage. Thay said that there is breakfast in The hotel. But its Just only snacks! Dark stairs..closed iron windows.. There is no signs at The hotel door. İt's like just a scary movie set.

We recently stayed in the B&B Live in Venice for 2 nights. The room was clean and had a great location. You have to be able to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to the room as there are no lifts! The breakfast was DIY, there was a coffee machine, toast, cereal and yoghurts. We ended up eating...

I booked this BB because of the central location close to the Realto bridge. The price was 110 euro, quite moderate (later on I saw hotels for even lower prices). However, the service was really terrible: nobody came in 5 days to change beds, clean room, towels were changed once only becase we insisted in this. The owner claims that...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
