We recently stayed at Ca'Pozzo for one night and could not have been happier. Being my second trip to Venice, it was refreshing to stay away from the tourist madness of Piazza San Marco. The morning fish and produce markets right outside the portico made us feel like locals. Our room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was just enough... More

The hotel is easy to find if you do your homework before departure. Venice can be a bit of a labyrinth, and addresses do not mean as much as they do in other places. The map provided on the hotel’s website is more than efficient to get there safely. Check in procedure was smooth and courteous. The room size was... More

Verry nice hotel. Calm. Good situation. Service ok. My room was perfect, but in my friend's room the bathroom had some problems. Ca'Pozzo can improve the breakfast, but it is not the most important thing in a hotel. If I come back to Venice, I 'll choose Ca'Pozzo again.

We stayed at this beautiful spotless hotel for 3 nights and everything was great. Location was perfect, near but not too close from St Lucia Train Station. Vapporeto stops are at waking distance. For those who visit Venice for the first time, believe me, there's no need to stay at a way more expensive hotel or B&B in San Marcos,... More

Perfect location: not so far from Piazza San Marco, yet pretty close to Santa Lucia Train Station; friendly staff; very clean and cozy with a design touch; breakfast with lots of fruits and tasty prosciutti; free wi fi.

Awesome location, easily walkable from the train station as well as everything else Venice has to offer. Place was very clean and modern. One of our favorite places to stay while we were in Italy. Breakfast was good in the morning and they had free wireless internet as well. Front desk people were friendly and were very helpful when asked... More

A fantastic hotel hidden in a quiet part of Venice away from the tourists. Breakfast was great, room was spacious, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Close to train station and surrounded by shops and restaurants. We had an amazing time here and will be back if I am ever so lucky to visit Venice again!

About 15 minutes away from the bus terminal station, and 10 minutes away from the train station. All attractions can be reached via water bus and by walking. The room is as shown in the website. Clean and spacious. I will definitely return to this hotel and recommend this to anyone going to Venice!

Easy to find from SMN station, 10 mins max walk. Interesting hotel, very quiet location down a dead end lane. Spacious rooms, Nicholas on desk was very helpful. Location excellent, close to vaporetto stop. Jewish ghetto away from crowds of San Marco - peaceful haven.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
