Friendly staff welcomed us to Venice. Our room was wonderful and the bed very comfy. A good idea to download a map to the hotel , but getting lost in Venice is fun all on its own. The continental breakfast was typical. Without a doubt we will return and will recommend hotel Tiziano to anyone.

Very nice hotel, neat and clean. We arrived in Venice at night and had no idea where to locate the hotel as not many people were around. Fortunately one lady took us to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and cooperative, kept our luggage safely even when we checked out (we had to go on three island tour in...

We stayed at Hotel Tiziano for two nights a few weeks back. It was clean and quaint. We had a family room on the third floor. There is no elevator so you must be prepared to haul your luggage up the three flights of stairs. A very pretty hotel and decorated with antiques and glass! The staff was very friendly...

My family stayed here in mid June..Very clean and quaint in the quiet area of Venice which we enjoyed. The staff very very friendly. The hotel can be hard to find but if you email them they will send you perfect direction that took us straight to them. Just beware that there are no elevators so if stairs are a...

We loved our stay at Hotel Tiziano. It definitely is located away from the tourist areas and we had a bit of difficulty finding it at first--but it was one of our favorite hotels during our trip to Italy and Greece in early June. The rooms were quaint but sufficient--the bathrooms had an actual tub and were larger than most...

We stayed at Hotel Tiziano for two nights in June 2014. It was clean and quaint. We had a family room on the third floor. There is no elevator so you must be prepared to haul your luggage up the three flights of stairs. It worked out fine for us. Our room was in an attic-like space, but it was...

The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Venice away from the crowded tourist areas – this is why we selected it. It is within walking distance of most of the tourist attractions of Venice and has some lovely restaurants close by. The hotel was clean and had a charm about it while the staff were very polite and...

Our two-night stay at Hotel Tiziano was fabulous. Every part - from start to finish - was lovely. Charming and inviting. Comfortable and quiet. The directions there were perfect. It was not a long walk from the San Basilo vaporetto. Close to great restaurants in Campo San Barnaba. For a small hotel, the rooms are more than adequate. Bathrooms are...

This is the 4th time I've tried to post this review but the Wi-Fi disconnects every minute or so, and it takes 3-5 minutes to get back on. The hotel is located in a very remote location - much of the attractions are ~15 walk away. When we first checked in, the lady informed us not to leave food out...

Dear sir, We're sorry to read your review and hear that your overnight stay was bad. Anyway the nice pets, that you didn't understand what they were, are simply the ants that at the beginning of the summer they start to look for the food. It seemed that you had understood that, we're sorry if you throught about something else....

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
