On the 22nd of April 2022 I stayed at Domus Orsoni in room 3 for 2 nights. As guests, we encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels which I think you should be aware of. The property did not match the description in multiple of ways. Not a breakfast buffet as described. The property listed a buffet breakfast, we paid for 2 breakfasts yet due to serving time only had breakfast once. One croissant, one bread roll and a hard-boiled egg per person isn’t a buffet. It cannot even be described as continental. Not even a piece of fruit, or any cereal. There wasn’t anything even to toast the bread given. Cold bread just doesn't equal buffet breakfast in my mind. Upon check in the staff member removed personal items such as coats and bags from the room we were checking into. We don’t believe the room had been cleaned prior to check in. This is not safe with COVID precautions of cleanliness as advertised. Not soundproof as described. On the first night staying at the property our room was located adjoining a staff kitchen. There is a door between our room to the kitchen. It was not soundproof as described. Staff members were in the kitchen talking loudly from 7am which woke myself and my partner up. When booking a b&b you want to be able to get rest, not be woken up at 7am by the staff being loud and inconsiderate. Our room didn’t even have a wall between the staff kitchen and our bedroom, it was a door that had the keyhole stuffed with tissues. This is not soundproof, nor appropriate. When the staff members came to work in the morning they would congregate inside that "staff room" which was actually joined to our room, funnily enough the tissue stuffed keyhole didn't stop the noise waking us up. No assistance when requested. One evening my partner and I returned to the property to find broken glass on the staircase, we called a staff member to get some assistance as we was concerned someone may fall and cut themselves. Nobody returned to the property so we cleaned it ourselves with a towel from the room. The property photos did not match the rooms as advertised. In our bathroom there was black mould all up the wall and around the bath. Tiles were coming off the wall and the grouting was full of mould. This is not acceptable. As a guest you do not pay to stay in a mouldy room that is in poor condition. The hotel room radiator could not be turned off, this left the room uncomfortably hot. The air con did not work. The room was covered in bugs and mosquitos, I myself had 16 bites on my face alone. I suffered a reaction to these bites and can provide a video documenting such. No minibar as advertised. No TV in rooms as advertised. No Aircon as advertised. Bugs, the room was absoltely full of bugs. I had 16 bites on my face alone. It just was not up to a standard as expected or "advertised" The stay here is massively disappointing. The rooms are dated and grubby. Its very expensive for what you get, but hey if you want to spend £300 on a bread roll for breakfast and a moudly bathroom go ahead!

We had been referred to this inn by a close family friend who had stayed there a few years ago. Getting ready to soon leave on our trip and opting to avoid the hassle of doing a bunch of research on where to stay in Venice, we went with recommendation and known commodity. The location of Domus Orsoni is great - near the Guigli Bridge; a short and manageable walk from the train station; very nearby to the Jewish Ghetto as it turns out; and with easy access to the Vaparetto water buses. It is in or near the Cannareggio neighborhood which is quieter than areas more central or at the southern tip of the city. As to the inn itself, meh. There is nothing all that wrong with it. But it is a three-star place at best. Our room was basic; the bedding scant; and the bathroom funky. With just a tub; no shower. The proprietor, Valentina, was quite helpful in advance with making the reservation and giving us detailed directions for how to get there. (If we had followed GPS instead of what she told us, we might still be wandering.) Though during our stay, she was less responsive. All in all, if you're looking for basic accommodations at a reasonable price, this is a decent option. If you want something more special or a cut above, you can do far better.

This is a unique place like staying in a special Venetian art gallery specializing in mosasics . The communication with the staff before arriving was very informative and helpful and very welcoming .the location is great - minutes away from the water bus to the airport and near lots of interesting shops and cafes . All round excellent value -and the breakfast was good too !

You could not possibly know how beautiful the interior is judging from the nondescript doorway in the alley. Once inside, however, you are treated to beautiful mosaics. The rooms are great, the staff super friendly (and bilingual) and the breakfast is excellent. We couldn't believe how quiet it was in this place! Highly recommended!

I stayed at Domus Orsoni for three nights and it was a great stay! The location itself is fantastic, 10 mins walk to Santa Lucia station as well as 25 min walk to St Mark’s Square and lots of restaurants and shops 5 mins away. The room itself was very spacious and clean, along with a very big bathroom and a good air conditioner! The room had beautiful touches of mosaic e.g. a mosaic bedhead, mirror and table. The free breakfast was great, it had fruit, toast, croissants, cereal etc all that we could have wanted. Highly recommend this hotel!

Only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Lovely quiet area. Beautiful hotel, the room was very large and we had a private outside terrace. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was nice. The only disadvantage was the staff didn't speak English - but that is my fault as I was in Italy.

Amazing B&B. Beautiful, excellent location, clean comfortable rooms, wonderful and accomodating staff. Breakfast was palatable. If revisit Venice, would stay here again. Special thanks to Virginia for making us feel like family!

We arrived in Venice from Florence via Trenitalia, the Cannaregio neighborhood where the BnB is located is within easy walking distance from St Lucia train station. Valentina, the owner or manager, had provided detailed instruccions via email as how to get to the premises from the train station. We arrived at a lovely, beautifully decorated lobby with many mosaic pieces and were welcomed by Virginia, so pleasant and warm hearted, she oriented us to the premises, provided a map and upon us asking, recommended a nearby restaurant, giving us directions of how to get to it. Our room was impecable, all new furnishings, a large walk in closet, beautiful, sparkling clean, large bathroom, only drawback was that the shower, even with excellent water pressure from shower heads and water jets, was a very tight space. There were extra pillows and blankets in the closet. Our room faced a court yard. Another beautifully decorated lobby upstairs just outside the rooms gave us extra space to sit and relax. Breakfast was served in a tastefully decorated, good sized room with a balcony facing a courtyard, there were hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruits, warmed breads and sweet rolls, along with butter and jams and of course, plenty of good coffee or tea. Christina was very nice and helpful at breakfast one morning, and at getting us extra bath towels. We were given detailed instructions of how to go about arranging our water bus transport to Marco Polo airport, approximately a 35 minute ride from the Guglie boat stop via the Alilaguna orange line. The Guglie boat stop is within steps of the BnB, and if you rather walk, Piazza St Marco is about a 25 minute fun stroll from the Cannaregio area. No need to use the vaporetto. We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, well managed BnB, the staff was amazing, the location just perfect, if ever back in Venice we would definitely stay here again. We did not give it a 5 star just because of the small shower space. Grazie!

Fell in love with this hotel as soon as we opened the door - and what a welcome we got from the owner, Valentina ! The hotel is a combination of beautiful glass mosaic murals, where old furniture rubs shoulders with modern transparent colourful plastic chairs- it can only be described as quirky. Located in a quiet residential area away from the usual tourist traps it is ideal. It is a five minute walk to some friendly and reasonably priced restaurants, and a ten minute walk to the historic ghetto area. There only 5 rooms all very clean and spacious. Although there is a fridge there are no tea/coffee making facilities, as with many continental hotels, and the tv only has Italian stations so for news from home log into the free WiFi. There is a small terrace area where you can sit overlooking the garden (during our stay the garden was undergoing a make over). Breakfast - served between 8.30 and 10.30 - was basic - tea, coffee, juice, croissants, toast eggs and fruit etc but lacked the meats and cheese I come to expect for a Continental breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As we had an early departure they made sure we had some breakfast by leaving some items in our room the previous night. I highly recommend this hotel Should this be read by the team at Dormus Orsoni then we would like to send our personal thanks to you all especially Valentina for making our short visit to Venice specan and look forward to seeing you again.
