Close to the bus stop, railway station, river bus. Situated just of Campo San Polo a prime location for all the sights and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. The staff are charming and cannot do enough for you. There are 8 rooms plus the suite which we stayed in. Very comfortable with a typical Venetian style. Plenty of choice for...

We were happy with our stay at this hotel. It's a one star and I think some of the people who have written poor reviews have lost sight of that. The hotel has a sweet courtyard and the breakfast is fine enough. The staff were polite and helpful when we needed to ask questions. The rooms good do with a...

Contary to some other reviews for this hotel we experienced a very dirty and terrible hotel. The location and the small garden are good, and the ladies for breakfast friendly and helpfull. But all the rest is far from satisfactory. There is NO reception, you might find your key in a letter-box. If you need help you are out of...

The room is clean. The breakfast is included and it is really good they serve eggs, sausages, yogurts and everything. We were backpackers traveling but I will definitely recommend this hotel for a family that wants to stay in a low budget hotel. If you want to make the check-in at night you need to call and agree with the...

The location is really good, close to everything. Restaurant just outside and some shops. Free wifi, the room was ok, big and clean. The staff were very nice and polite. Good value for the money, perfect for a short trip to venice

It has a good family atmosphere, with great service. I truely would recommend this hotel to anyone. And they are work hard person and beautiful.

So we decided last minute to book a night in Venice and got a great deal for the junior suite (€60 - we had seen it listed for €197) and if we had paid the full price we would have been really disappointed. When we arrived, we found our room key in a letterbox in an envelope with my name...

I do not recommend this hotel. The rooms are not clean and the breakfast leaves much to be desired. Coffee is burned, grilled cheese sandwiches and scrambled eggs are prepared ahead of time and left sitting on table so they are cold. The walls have water damage and looked rusted or moldy.

With a bit of effort this could be a lovely place in a great location. Remove the heavy dusty curtains and replace with something simple. Remove the carpet that is stained and dirty. I am not sure what is under it but it is better that the carpet. Update the blankets and hard pillows and paint the walls. The courtyard...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
