Immaculately presented apartment - we were on the ground floor in Burchio. Breakfast food was provided daily and the choice was perfect for us; bread, ham, cheese, jams, yogurts, cereals and most importantly coffee! Great base on Giudecca, away from the madness but close enough to pop over the water on the free shuttle. Fantastic!

Stayed here for a long weekend. Super location away from the crowds but with restaurants close by. Convenient shuttle bus from Hilton next door - hotel skyline bar definitely worth a visit day and night for the views! Would thoroughly recommend and would stay here again. Thanks Luca and the team for a excellent trip.

Lucca and his hotel staff attend to every detail. The location is away from the crowds. We had a one bedroom suite on the fifth floor, it was perfect! You will not regret staying at this hotel! The kitchenette is well appointed and is stocked with some nice treats. The bed was a king with quality linen, very comfortable.

This was the third time we have stayed at the Grandi Vedute which in itself is a recommendation as we have previously stayed in many very nice Venetian Hotels. Now we wouldn't stay anywhere other than Grandi Vedute when we're visiting Venice. The building itself is a part of the high quality Hilton hotel conversion and you also benefit from...

This hotel is not located in the main area of Venice but its offers convenient transportation solution for its guests. We were told that the hotel has an agreement with the Hilton next door for its guests to take Hilton's free boat shuttle to both Zattere and St. Marco. This really helps as it takes longer time to St Marco...

Great experience in the Residenza Grandi Vedute. I have stayed 3 nights with my wife and everything has been fantastic. It has all the advantages of a luxury hotel as well as the advantages of your own home. All people at the front desk are lovely, always trying to help and indicating us how to move in Venice. The apartment was spacious and well-furnished, with incredible views of Venice overlooking the Giudecca canal. The staff was incredibly helpful, and every day restocked the apartment's kitchen with breakfast food and snacks when they came to clean and change the linens. Amid the crazy scramble of Venice in the summer, particularly during the Biennale, the Grandi Vedute was a civilized...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Venice and can honestly say it is the best place we have ever stayed! After reading all the great reviews on this place we could not agree more with all said. La Giudecca is mainly a residential island but do not let this deter you, you are right next...

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our luxury apartments decorated in a 17th century Venetian Style with all the modern comforts are located on the top floors of the right wing of the Molino Stucky, a late 19th century art nouveau grain mill on the Giudecca Island in Venice. Six of our apartments overlook Venice. Each of them with a unique view of the Serenissima. Their size varies from 45 to 90 square meters with high wooden ceilings, big queen size beds, spacious living rooms and bathrooms in Verona marble. We are only 10 minutes by boat from Saint Marks Square and 5 minutes from the Grand Canal. After a long and complex restoration finished in 2003, the Molino Stucky is one of the finest and most comfortable buildings in the city. We assure you that our luxury apartments and the peaceful Island of the Giudecca are the way of enjoying a relaxing holiday in Venice. This Island, just across from Saint Marks Square, has always been one of the favorite summer places of the noble Venetian families who built beautiful villas surrounded by lovely gardens and orchards, as well as churches, monasteries and convents. Some are still standing and others like the monastery of San Biagio became the Molino Stucky. ... more   less
