Hotel Dei Dragomanni was a nice hotel at a good location. It was at a walkable distance from Santa Maria del Gigilio boat station. The complementary breakfast service was superb! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Dear Gogreen2017,
thank you for the nice review.
We are happy to know that you enjoyed our complimentary breakfast.
Best regards.
The room that we got didn't have much of a view but it was clean and comfortable. I found the staff a little impatient, especially when we were about to checkout. The breakfast room is small with a fair selection.

Dear alm561,
thank you for your kind feedback.
Your opinion is very important for us.
Kind regards.
Was reccomended this hotel before a cruise from Venice.
The location on the canal is superb, short walk from the Waterbus stop. Only problem with the walk is the three bridges, so I would reccomend a water taxi. It stops by the hotel.

100 feet from the water taxi on the Grand Canal. Easy walk to everything in Venice. I would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful, large suite on the top floor. Skylights, great bathroom with shower, windows that opened! The included breakfast was SUPERB....More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and

Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

We pre booked a shared water taxi via Expedia before travelling, this was reasonable and dropped us off right outside hotel dei Dragomanni (almost as its just down the side street but literally about 20 feet away) I hadn't arranged transport back to the airport and was quoted about €110 for a private taxi so decided to book online for a shared water taxi at a much cheaper rate.

Treviso is about 16 miles from Venice. There is a bus service to the city. We arrived by train rather than air. The public water bus fare from the station to St Mark's Square, last October, was 3.50 euros per person. The walk from there to the hotel is less than 10 minutes - if you don't keep stopping to admire the sights and take photos!
There was soap, shower gel, shampoo and a hairdryer in the room.
