We spent 2 nights at this B&B and were very happy with the place. The location is great as it's very close to St marks square and a very short walk from the Vaporetto stop. The confirmation mail from the B&B included directions to the place which was very helpful. We booked a 3 person room. It was spacious, clean...

We've just come back from Venice and stayed at Zaguri B & B. It is a small but very accommodating B & B, our room downstairs had a small courtyard. It was perfect for us and nothing was too much trouble. Continental breakfast was served upstairs with lots of choice. It was located very close to St Marks square and...

Just back from a week staying at Zaguri. It's the best place we've stayed in Venice. Warm, clean, friendly & the staff make you feel so welcome especially Nazaneen. Breakfast is great & you have keys to come & go as you please. Fantastic location next to St Mark's Square & water bus stops. Don't look any further if you...

We spent three nights at the Zaguri B&B. We loved the place. The rooms are spacious and roomy with an excellent shower. It is easily accessible via vaperatto. The staff were helpful and we were able to get some laundry done by a staff person at 2 euros/ piece. The breakfasts were adequate. We would happily stay here again.

Our family stayed here for four nights. The rooms were small but they provided everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast provided was great. They provided gluten free food for our daughter. This b&b was in a great location. A short walk to St. Marks square and a multitude of other sites. We pretty much walked...

If you check the map, you'll find Zaguri B & B extremely easy to find. 8 minutes from San Marco square, and about 2 minutes from Giglio Vaporetta stop. Zaguri is centrally located, a perfect place from which to explore Venice. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Mario, who showed us to our room with a glass of Prosecco and...

Rooms were exactly like in the pictures. Welcome was warm. Room seemed cleaned, but when you run your fingers on top of the bed frame, lamps there was a lot of dust probably coming from the major exterior renovation they are going through. Breakfast is perfect with boiled eggs, cold cuts, pastries, yogurt and fruit, enough to get you going...

The place is good for budget traveler as it is close to the grand canal stop and in the centre of Venice. Rooms are spacious, nice basic breakfats is served by hosts. Hosts are very supportive and pleasing. A nice feel of staying in a old Venice home. St Marks square is just 5 min walk.

Sweet Bed and Breakfast at the Maria San Giglio Vaporetta stop. From here, you can catch the Vaporetta #1 and get to any stop from Lido to P.le. Roma in either direction. It is also a 10-minute walk to St. Mark’s Square. We had a room for 4 which consisted of 4 twin beds. The bathroom was spacious but we...

This was so easy to find! We got lost many times in Venice but when first arrived with our luggage, we had no problem at all finding Zaguri. The map they sent via email was very helpful. The young ladies working there were very polite and spoke English well, and the breakfast each morning was nice. We have no complaints!...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
