We were there in June 2018. The Marriott does have a free shuttle that leaves from a dock close to St. Mark's Square (to the left as you face the square). From the train station, you would have to take a vaporetto to St. Mark's (8 euros) then walk to the shuttle dock. A water taxi from the train station directly to the hotel is about 85 euros. For transfer options and in depth information about resort fees, go to the hotel website. We used points and breakfast was included. The hotel concierge was very responsive to questions.
