Walking is difficult...have to find the right combination of bridges to get you there and it will take a good 20 minutes to half hour. Water taxi is most direct and costs 50 euro. Water bus will take you to Rialto and is much cheaper, but you will still have a 10 minute walk. Beware of people just outside the train station trying to steer you to taxis and diverting you from the water bus line
