Great hotel right in the centre of Bari, on main shopping street. Not far from the old town also. I arrived at 10.30pm and told booking.com what time I was due to arrive. I arrived and couldnt get in no hotel staff from late afternoon. I rang them and the guy turned up 10 minutes later but I would have appreciated instructions before I travelled. Nice clean room, no hot water one night for the shower.

Seriously guys, this is a place to avoid, looking nothing like photos and terrible in all ways. Firstly it’s not luxury in any way! The check in is horrible and the staff rude making us wait 15 minutes outside building before even coming in. The place is a tiny cramped attic, and the bathroom is dirty and terribly small. The whole experience was so disgusting and cheap, despite the fact it costs a decent amount of money to stay here! DO NOT stay here. HOT WATER LASTS IN SHOWER ONLY 2 minutes !! They have ruined a beautiful old building and a great location with an absolutely abysmal hotel. Disliked · Hotel is absolutely terrible. Staff, checkin, bathroom, tiny cramped small and ugly. Kitchen there but doesn’t work.

The B&B is located right in the heart of Bari, on the city's most important shopping street- via Sparano. Easily reachable from the airport (by bus or train), short walking distance from the central station (7 min). By far, the location was what we loved the most. Attentive, helpful staff, although not always present at the reception (ground floor of the building). The rooms are at the upper most floor of this XIX century beautiful building, with entry from the terrace. You have to climb an extra floor after stepping out of the elevator. The terrace is lovely for having your morning coffee or a late cold drink. Due to the fact that it's situated right on the roof of the building basically, it gets really hot during daytime, so the AC really came in handy. We appreciated the fact that, although booking a Standard double room, we received a much larger one, including a sofa, with plenty of extra space. The rooms have a minibar to keep drinks cold over the hot days and a table where you can fix a quick breakfast if needed. The area is packed with cafes, bars, places to drink your Italian coffee in the morning or to grab a gelato or fresh croissant. Although the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is incredibly small, with no space to move around. To open the shower door, you have to leave the bathroom door open otherwise you don'w fit it. There is no place to hang your cloths inside the bathroom, neither a spot to leave your toiletries inside the shower cabin. It can be pretty uncomfortable to take a shower, but it's manageable.

We were supposed to stay one night in Bari before leaving to another city. Since our flight arrived at 23.00 at the airport I sent a message to the hotel before to make sure there will not be any problems. We received a message that all will be fine. On the day, I got a call and a text asking me when we would arrive. this seemed weird to me already as I spoke to them before. When I told them again we arrive late they said yes no problem. In the afternoon they tried to call me again but I was unable to answer my phone and as they sent nothing I assumed all was fine. At 9pm boarding started and I received a text in italian (i sent all messages in English and told them I do not speak Italian) saying that there is a problem with the room they booked another hotel for us. As this was right before boarding we did not even have time to check this hotel nor to find it on the maps. When we arrived this other hotel had no information about us and wanted us to pay the room which was more expensive. We tried to get in contact with Sparano and they would not answer and even our call got declined. At some point someone answered only speaking Italian. Then the owner of the other place they told us to go to talked to him and we were able to speak with someone who actually speaks English. By then it was already 00.30am. In the end, we stayed at the other hotel (the text said same value and same price) but this was not true at all. The ratings were very bad and the hotel itself also. We had to pay there and Sparano had to pay the difference as we refused to pay more. I totally understand if there is a problem with the room and you need to send guests to somewhere else. However, you need to make sure everything is arranged and be available for questions. This was the worst customer service that I have ever seen. Especially if you arrive late, do not book this hotel as they do not care about their guests neither try to help you out or try that you actually understand what they are saying.

The night before my stay I received an SMS from the hotel at 9:30pm saying that the guest staying in my room broke the bathroom and the maintenance cannot resolve the problem so they booked a different hotel for me - Zodiacus residence. We booked Sparano because it is modern and the rooms look nice - have a look at Zodiacus residence, definitely not the same standard!! Very Old hotel and much cheaper! What a bad start to our stay when we had to go to the airport at 5am. At least they should have found us something better than their hotel if they put us through this inconvenience not something 10 times worse. Big Disappointment!

The rooms are on the roof of a beautiful old building in the center of Bari. The1930s/1940s elevator is a gem. You do need to do the last flight of stairs on foot. Our room was simple, but clean and comfortable. The young manager is very sweet and helpful. It's a 5-10 minute walk to both the train station and the old town of Bari. Not a B&B in the traditional sense, because there is no breakfast served. There is an espresso maker in the room and a water kettle, but just packaged food items on a tray, which we skipped. We only stayed one night, so the location was convenient for us.

This was a lovely B&B to stay at. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and the bathroom was well equipped compared to North American standards. We had access to a roof top patio which was really wonderful and it also helped with busy noise down on the pedestrian shopping area below. I didn't like that they didn't offer a fresh breakfast as per what we thought. They had a coffee maker, kettle, packaged baked goods, nothing organized or fresh :(. But I have to say thank goodness for the young man working that day who came back from home to let be back into my room as I locked my self out of my room! Can't beat the location. Fantastic

We started our journey in Puglia in Bari we we had booked this b&b for its convenient location. Upon arrival we found it is actually located in a beautiful palazzo. The old elevator really contributes to the charm of the building. The room was good and cool.

This is a fantastic B&B in an excellent location. It's on the main shopping street in Bari, and less than a 10 minute walk to both the central train station on one side and the old town on the other. Rooms are very clean and modern. Tobia was very welcoming and hospitable with lots of recommendations for local places to eat and get coffee, as well as information for travel to sites around Bari. Great, relaxed service.
