Histo Relais Culti is a new luxury hotel which has been built by carefully restoring an abandoned medieval manor and farmhouse of great historical importance, also due to the presence of an ancient Roman aqueduct. People have lived here since ancient Roman times. The Basilica of SS Pietro and Andrea, which dates back to 1st century AD, has been very carefully restored as well, and today it is a wonderful frame where it is possible to organize meetings, special events.

Excellent. The experience at the Histò restaurant could be summed up with this adjective. Dinner with the family surrounded by refined furnishings that give rise to a unique, warm and welcoming location. Impeccable and elegant service, everyone courteous, smiling and helpful. Exceptional dishes, quality products. I'll be back soon. Highly recommended!

I state that we did not stay at this wonderful hotel, but we just spent a wonderful relaxing day by their pool surrounded by olive trees. The staff was super helpful and met our every need throughout the duration of our stay. They also made us search some areas allowing us to enjoy the remains of the frescoes and the charm of the origins on which the structure is based, as well as later giving us a tour of their wellness area, which is why we will definitely return in the winter! We also had lunch in their restaurant the lantern maker which personally was the only “disappointment”, but not in terms of food quality because it was great, but simply because the menu was very very narrow and offered few alternatives. For the rest, we spent a wonderful day of relaxation and quiet.

I had the pleasure of having lunch in this beautiful Relais, with great quality food, seasonal and optimally prepared. Impeccable service and truly fascinating location. Reception and organization in line with the (high) standards that such a structure requires. Ci tornerò senza dubbio!

Booked dinner and double room for the sum of €850, half payment immediately and balance on 28 December. They send me a link that strangely takes the entire sum. I phone on December 28th and ask if there are any problems canceling, problems that I would have solved if I had not been entitled to a refund of the sum paid. I was assured that I would not lose anything. “Of course, Madam”, these were the words said. A few days later I received an email in response to my refund request, telling me that I was only entitled to €225 (half the room) and a €200 voucher to spend at their facility, the latter naturally refused . Absolutely disgraceful.

the pictures are true to reality - it is actually very nice there. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences there: The club sandwich for lunch took 90 minutes, despite repeated reminders. The mineral water I ordered came after 40 minutes. I have never had a worse sandwich. A chef who can't cook - can't cook... and so it continued at dinner. The pasta was inedible and the veal cheeks were expensive and inedible. The ice cream for dessert was also unbelievably bad. We work a lot and are looking forward to a relaxing holiday. So we went to reception on the first day and cancelled our booking, with the reception saying that we would be charged for 2 days' stay. Unfortunately, the agreed refund amount was not returned from my deposit. It is fitting for a management that doesn't care about the guests - not about the service, and not about the kitchen. If new management were to be appointed there one day, I could imagine booking another stay. Summary: Currently miles away from 5 stars. By the way: we were not the only ones who were so disappointed. So be careful with the deposit - it is better to be safe than sorry

We stayed here one night on our trip through Puglia and were delighted to see how this hotel was architectural beautiful. Location: A bit off the beaten track. Facility: Beautiful architecture, but very spread out. There is a spa, but we weren’t able to schedule a massage because everything was booked by non hotel guests. Room: Very large and spacious in a ultra modern taste. Bathroom was good with a huge double headed shower, but we found it difficult to figure out what controlled what. We were also confused by the HVAC because there was a control panel on the wall that didn’t work. It wasn’t until I discovered the the remote that I was able to control the heat. Food: We ate dinner at the restaurant and was very disappointed by the food and service. There was a large group having dinner and it appeared we were being forced through the meal to get us out before large group showed up. Service: overall the front desk service was very good, but the lack of service in the restaurant and spa was below par.
While this hotel bills itself as a spa, it operates more like a group hotel.

Disappointment. I received from my husband for the birthday entrance to the couple’s spa with massage (my maternity so it was evidently clear that I was pregnant) and dinner at the Histo... as soon as we arrived being pregnant they did not want me to access the spa because there were stages that I could not do (which I had already taken into account as sauna and Turkish bath are not recommended in pregnancy). I asked for an alternative treatment (having already paid and not being able to get the money back to them) but it was not possible so I could only use two tubs one inside and one outside of the whole spa course. The massage was beautiful, the only reason I gave 3 stars to this review because, the spa manager, in no way tried to meet me, I just gave up something I had already paid for.
Dinner is served by staff not up to the beautiful place where you are. The waiter spoke several times in dialect with the other waiters and was not prepared to explain the contents of the courses.
All not up to the price paid.
I'm sorry but to keep the level high you have to respect standards of courtesy and treatment of guests that have absolutely not been respected.

Relais Histo, set in a beautifully restored 14th-century monastery near Taranto, offers a unique ambiance steeped in history and character. Surrounded by olive trees and overlooking the Ionian Sea, the resort’s historic architecture and serene setting create a picturesque escape that feels like stepping back in time.
However, while the heritage building exudes charm and elegance, parts of the resort are in need of renovation, and the facilities don’t quite live up to the promise of a luxury stay. The grandeur of the surroundings is often let down by inconsistent customer service, which can feel lacking, particularly for international guests. Non-Italian visitors might find the level of attention and care falls short, leaving a sense of missed expectations.
Despite its potential, Relais Histo can sometimes miss the mark on the warm, personalized service that defines a top-tier resort experience. With a bit more attention to detail and a renewed focus on hospitality, this beautiful retreat could truly shine as the exceptional destination it aspires to be.

My wife and I stayed in this facility to take advantage of the spa program plus a couple's massage. Let's start with the couple's massage: nice room, clean but without background music, the situation was really bordering on embarrassing, the noises were only made by our bodies being massaged. After the massage we begin the spa journey... sauna, Turkish bath... and then finally the long-awaited outdoor swimming pool, which given the period (February) should have been suggestive but...... but we arrive at the entrance to the outdoor swimming pool and the operator informs that the boilers were not working!!! (I would like to point out that before entering the spa we paid the bill of 290 euros without even a minimum of notice of the inconvenience and without a minimum of consideration for the price of the package, paid in full but with services not up to the price) We try to swim in the outdoor pool but it was cold and I must say also not very well maintained because it showed a lot of signs of wear on the bottom. For such a place we would never have expected such an almost poor service. What a shame! However, in the indoor swimming pool there are no candles, an atmosphere devoid of atmosphere.

Great site with lots of friendly staff. The pool area was perfect. We were served kindly, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately, some activities were not possible on the domain. The menu in the restaurant was very limited, so we unfortunately had to eat somewhere else on the second evening. Maybe make specials of the day. The fitness equipment does not work optimally. Even though we said three times that there was a chair with blood in the hallway, it was not removed or cleaned
