Me and my partner have just arrived back from a one week stay at Hotel Alguer and we had a lovely time. The family that run it (Giancarlo, Francesco, Piermario and Rosalba) are so friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble for them. We weren't sure whether to hire a car but with their help we were able to...

Excellent Hotel, with very friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble (even the little touches like lending you plug converters if you forget to bring them or an umbrella for the beach). Rooms are spacious and comfortable, including the bed! Decent continental breakfast ( the croissants are fab!) immaculatley clean. No more than 3 minutes from the beach and a...

This is a great place to stay for a trip to Alghero. The hotel is excellent, very clean and we always felt welcome. We stayed for a week and the room size and balcony space was spot on. Continental breakfast and coffee each day also really good. The hotel is in an ideal location for some beautiful beaches, short walk...

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Admittedly it is not classed as a Four Star hotel, nor does it have a bar or swimming pool for residents. However these 'extras' are not needed when you have a truly magnificent beach on your doorstep, plenty of hostelries nearby and a large spotless comfortable room with all the...

As reported by other reviewers great pride is taken in the welcome and hospitity given at this hotel. Very comfortable 5 minutes from a nice beach with really nice beaches a km away. Bus stop to airport at bottom of lane. Took local bus to airport even at 5 a.m. 15 minutes stroll to old town. All accommodation in the...

I liked this 12-room hotel. I felt it had a personal touch and it is in a good new building. The two Italian guys who run it are friendly. There is a lift if you need one. The double room was very nice (EUR 70) and in particular had a very good firm bed (some Italian beds can be like...

We just arrived back from Sardinia, staying here and a few more hotels on a road trip around the island. Hotel Alguer was the hotel we stayed in at the start and end of the trip. We actually changed our plans to return here before flying home since we had such a good experience when we first arrived. The owner/manager...

My sister and I booked a room for a week and the guy who greeted us was very hospitable. Rooms clean and well presented, bathroom quite spacious, we very much appreciated the small bottle of Spumante as a welcome gesture. Had a quiet and comfortable nights sleep for the most part. Breakfast was a good spread of croissants, cereal, jams...

We stayed here for fifteen nights and it was perfect for us. Giancarlo obviously takes a pride in giving his guests value for money. Although close to the beach and not far from main roads it is probably the quietest hotel we have stayed in. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and we never heard any noise during the...

You know somewhere is good when you're already planning the next trip before you've even checked out.....it really is that good. Stayed here with husband for a few days in early May - have never bothered to rate anywhere on Tripadvisor (or any other site!) before, but was so impressed with this place felt compelled to do a review. This...
