We stayed at The Place for 5 nights from August 25. Upon arriving by train, we walked 10 minutes to The Place. Tucked away in a quiet residential street, The Place is in the heart of town within walking distance to all the main attractions. The was clean, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. Alessandro welcomed us upon arrival and... More

The Place hotel is a very elegant and high quality contemporary rebuild within the shell of a period house damaged by WW2 bombing. Everything was spotlessly clean and a varied breakfast was included. The owner, Enrico was very hospitable and made our three night stay in Cagliari very enjoyable.

My wife picked up reference to The Place in the Times and it seemed to be the sort of smaller, interesting, central location that we enjoy - and we were not disappointed. The rooms are all different and interesting and ours was very spacy with a large bedroom, bathroom and a separate sitting room. The new owner Enrico was a... More

Perfectly located to the centre of town, the marina and public transport. Quiet street and charming rooms. Best of all was Enrico, the owner, who built on that personal touch and went out of his way to help us have a great trip.

We gave this place a lower rating because even though it was supposed to have breakfast, it didn't...and we had no view at all...and we got a parking ticket, although we parked in the public parking that we were told to. But other than that, it was a pleasant room with a great bathroom and a perfect location.

If you want a smart clean room, in a fabulous location for a very good price then look no further. However if you want hotel service trimmings then look elsewhere. This is a room for the night with minimal support, nothing wrong with that but you do need to understand what you are buying. It was perfect for us but... More

Host - very kind and nice. Hotel - well positioned, nice rooms, very cozy. Each room is different and all look great. Quiet area and good sleep quality. Breakfast is served at a cafeteria near by and it's rich and extremely good. Very nice place and highly recommended while in Cagliari.

Great little hotel in a good location. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the air con was not great, even with it on full blast all night I still struggled to sleep in the heat as the room never got that cool.
