Large well apportioned rooms, very professional staff, a good location (a very short walk to 'town' center) and a lovely terrace. I would say that noise does seem to carry between the rooms, particularly vertically, probably on account of the wooden floors and beams. Breakfast was meagre on the one morning although this is likely due to the out of...

We showed up without a reservation after deciding not to stay in Catania. The building is lovely and the front desk staff were very accommodating. We asked to see every size room and finally settled on the suite. It was large and comfortable. Internet and hot water worked fine and breakfast was included in the cost. The restaurant is not...

The hotel is clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. I only stayed one night. I had a problem with the toilet flush water which was partially solved, as every time I flushed the water kept coming out. Then there was the shower, the drIn was very slow and there was no hot water. The hot water was not...

I have stayed here a couple of times on business and for a short stay it is a nice hotel. I love the ambiance of the building. The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is if you are driving there is NO private parking. You need to be lucky to find a space free as there is only the one way...

I was in Augusta on a business trip and I arrived at the hotel on a Sunday evening (1800) after a very long day of travelling and without having had a decent meal for the previous 24 hours. You can imagine my disappointment when the person on the front desk told me the restaurant was closed. There wasn't even a...

Xifonia I could speak italian as waiter had no english and I ended up with what I wasnt expecting. Saying that, the food was OK if not...

THis hotel is much nicer than I expected. This hotel was a palace owned by a Neopolitan and the building is just beautiful. Wonderful restorations. The staff is friendly and willing to help you with any questions you may have. The town of Augusta does not really have much to offer. It is a good central point if you have...

The hotel is very nice and well kept; it is an old palace restored. It is elegantly furnished, but there are no shutters and the curtains are too thin and, therefore, ineffectual. There is barely any field for mobile phones or internet devices, and the wi-fi service provided by the hotel is only at the reception level free of charge....

The rooms look nothing like the pictures online. If there was an issue that you wanted to discuss with the manager, you only got two replies: 1) "it's not possible"; 2)"Policia". The bartender/restaurant manager was the only bright spot during this stay. We immediately canceled our future reservations. Not friendly toward Americans. Save your time and money.
