The hotel is very clean. But the two mangers Marco and Domenco are very hardworking and dedicated to providing the best experience possible. Marco does the excursions part time. Offers very informative tours at extremely good value. The location of the hotel is great. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast typical Italian. Look forward to visiting again.

Expect low quality for low price. When I arrived later than check-in time, they told me I had to pay extra wich I did not know. I made sure to pay the extra €50,- for late check-in. But when I wanted to go to my room, I could not find the key for the door. After trying to call multiple times, without response I felt angry when I got a text in Italian saying that if I did not speak Italian, I should translate it. Very unwelcoming feeling and a waste of my time. It’s not fair to let someone wait for so long and then the next day blaming them for not finding the key. At least pick up the phone and try to help, saves time for both of us. When I finally got into the room it was not clean at all. The bedsheets had little white spots on them and ceiling was also dirty. When I woke up the next morning for breakfast, it was very poor. Bread was dry and fruit was not fresh. Banana was brown and apple way too soft. The nutella choclate croissant was dry and tasteless. When I was eating breakfast I was disturbed that I had to pay extra tax. Per person per night it was €2,-. The money was not much so I paid it, but it was the fact that they did not tell me before. Please inform sooner about this hidden payment. Apparently this is what you get for a cheap hotel.

This was the fourth time we have stayed here. We used to love it. Last time was pre-Covid. Breakfast is now poor. Used to be fresh rolls and almond milk, lots of fresh juice. Nice jam. It is now cheap and rubbish. Everything is pre-packaged and not of good quality. Because we shunned breakfast after the first day, ending at 0930, we were not informed of turning off the water for two days from 1000ish, until sometime in the afternoon? Apparently we should “have been at breakfast”. No note under the door or anything! No shower or toilet for 2 days. Nothing. Our fault. Apparently.

There is no proper entrance to this hotel at street level so we were a bit disconcerted when we arrived in the dark. The instruction not to flush toilet paper shocked my fellow travellers but I had come across this before. In fact this hotel grew on all of us. It's clean, basic, very Italian, interesting old building with friendly staff. I'd say good value if that's what you want. No luxuries (although there is air con).

We should have know that the relatively low cost of this Hotel would be a sign of how bad the room was. First of all, it was very stuffy in the room, needed to turn on the air conditioner (it was 78 degrees out) and the manager told us it was not hot enough out to turn in on. Ok, so we opened the window in the room; BUT there is a very large sign on the closet door that they have a VERY BAD MOSQUITO PROBLEM there and to keep the window closed at all times. We did open the window for about 20 minutes and got bitten repeatedly. The bathroom shower did not drain well and although I am 165 lb man, pretty lean, I could barely fit in the tiny shower. The towels were like paper towels, super thin. No shampoo or soap or anything. We arrived about 2 hours before the time we said we would be there and the man who greeted us was very rude and seemed put off that we were early.. too bad. the manager we finally met was very nice, but that's the only positive about this place

At 7am, on the morning we were due to fly to Catania and stay for a night at Hotel Entea. We got a phone call from them telling us they could no longer accommodate us. We originally booked back in 2019 and Covid prevented two years of travel. We confirmed this booking in October 2021. The attitude seemed to be that we should be grateful they had let us know. They were not apologetic and they did not offer to find us an alternative. Thank goodness for Booking.com.

We had a great stay at this small and cozy hotel. It's placed at the busy Via Etnea close to stores, restaurants and not too far to the bus main station. The rooms are big and everything was working. The service is great and the staff really kind and always eager to help and give you some good advice. Breakfast is typically Italian with sweet bakeries. All in all a perfect stay and totally recommendable!
