We have just returned from 4 nights at the Palazzo Marletta and had to share about how wonderful Catania, the hotel and staff were. We had four rooms and felt we were at a small villa. Every room was different and exquisite. Upon our arrival, the lovely Allesandra hosted us to wonderful glass of Prosecco and shared about Catania. It is lovely, safe city and it exceeded our exceptions- as did the hotel. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast prepared by the hotel- either in our rooms, or in the small dining room. Breakfast was beautifully served and was delicious and I'm convinced Allessandra makes the best Cafe American in all of Italy. Renato was also a bright spot in our stay. He accommodated us in every way and treated us as honors guests- plus he gave us a great restaurant recommendation in Ortega. Serena was also lovely. I can't say enough about this exquisite hotel- from it's location- super close to the Duomo, it's elegant decor and the amazing staff it is a complete home-run. Don't miss this gem if you visit Catania.…
This eighteenth century palazzo doesn’t look like much on the outside but inside it’s beautiful, only a few rooms tucked inside an old building. But the rooms! Mine had a balcony with a view of the Duomo and an elaborate decorated ceiling. The friendly chic young people in reception, bar, and housekeeping could not have been more helpful. A short walk to the outdoor fish and vegetable markets, and to the Roman amphitheater, and plenty of restaurants.
Beautiful, boutique hotel in excellent central location overlooking main square. Fantastic baroque architecture, well appointed room and delightful staff. Knowing we were on our honeymoon, we were put in our requested room (Angelia), Alessandra provided a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival and even gifted us a free breakfast. A wonderful stay, would recommend!
Beautiful lamps. Floor hand painted. Gold color beddings. Great wines free of charge. Great snacks. Amazing location. Thoughtful service. Truly an experience like no other. Doesn’t feel like a hotel. Feels like a private palace from the 18th century.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Having had a poor experience in a nearby establishment, this hotel absolutely saved our stay in catania. The staff.....welcoming, warm, really care about your stay, helpful, always smiling, always wanting to make your stay enjoyable. The room....spotless, air conditioning that works! Lots of little luxury touches that make you feel so comfortable and cared for. Access.....easy and very safe. Locality...perfect, literally a few strides away from piazza duomo. Whole experience....fabulous, will definitely stay here on our next visit to catania. Thankyou to the team. We loved our stay with you.
This hotel is a gem. The staff Renato, Alessandra and Serena gave us first class treatment. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 3 nights in a lovely room called Celestia which was ultra comfortable and included a balcony with a retractable roof..rain shower…Etro toiletries…great location off the main Duomo Square , close to the bus station that brought us to the beach ..close by to many fab restaurants and the fish market ..Highly recommended !! Excellent boutique hotel in the centre of old Catania. Very comfortable in every way. The staff are extremely attentive, and a special mention to Alessandra. You are a gem. Thank you for your help and kindness. Very much appreciated. Lovely breakfast each morning, delivered to your room on time. Nothing was too much trouble. Many restaurants all close by within easy walking distance from the Palazzo. The fish and food markets around the corner, a hive of activity every day, and the area turns into restaurants by night. Very enjoyable stay.
The hotel is a bit hidden, but easy to find. You have to take the lift to reach the reception. It's very well located, you can reach many places of interest and the shopping area very quickly. Our room was beautiful. The ceiling is really impressive with a huge chandelier in the middle. The bed was really comfy and there were several pieces of Kartell furniture. The bathroom is total modern and they provide everything even FFP2 masks. Pity that we spent only one night. The staff is really kind and helpful. They organized our taxi to the airport for 30 euros. We didn't get the breakfast there, so we can't say anything about that.
Renato and the team were fantastic hosts. Location, location, location - it is unbeatable. Wifi is fast and the breakfast room delivery was a plus. Charming little boutique to be recommended for solo or couple travelers.
I cannot emphasize enough what a perfect choice this is when visiting Catania. We researched many hotels and narrowed it down to two. And while this one cost a bit more, it was absolutely worth it. The property is sparkling clean, and does a brilliant job of blending the historic charm and elements with modern finishes. The rooms are breathtaking. The location is ideal. It is right on the corner of the main square- Piazza Duomo, and in the center of the old town. While walking around, I spotted some of the other hotels we had previously considered, and while the locations weren’t bad, I can say that Palazzo Marletta’s positioning is much better— right at the most scenic and atmospheric part of Catania. Last but not least, the service is excellent. Allesandra, Serena, and Eugenia were all so helpful, even before arrival— quickly responding to emails with great assistance. During our stay, they were so warm and eager to provide assistance, or even make a cup of fresh Sicilian espresso. Staying at Palazzo Marletta really added to the experience of visiting Catania. You won’t be disappointed— it exceeds all expectations.…
