Great hotel, close to the center. Breakfast was good, the staff was helpful and kind. We recommend. The room was big and very nice, every day we came to a really clean room. Comfortable bed, quiet place. Only downside is that there is no mini-bar in the room
First room assigned had a set of stairs that went to the bathroom which was on a separate floor from bed. changed to another room that had a huge crack in the glass door and had a sheer curtain. The light from outside stayed on all night and was shining in the room so I had to use a sleep mask. It is located very centrally, on a safe street. Nice lobby and staff.
Nice old place. We got the feeling that the bed sheet were already used before us, not changed for us. We got a nice upgrade to room 212, for some reason, there was an electrical noise, between 31 and 33 decibels, depending where in the room. Small shower, not 4 big persons. Nice breakfast place. One light didn't work in our room, many lights didn't work at the breakfast place! Nice guy at the reception. They save everywhere they can, the Ham was too old and tasted awfully bad. They replied that it depends on the quality they get......And how often they serve it again.... Not sur if the AC was working. No water, no tea or coffee machine.
The staff at Hotel Romano was very helpful. They promptly addressed a concern I had with my room. The evening bartender Fredico(?) was terrific. He is friendly, pours great drinks, and provides a broad array of bar snacks. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
My husband booked this trip for my 50th birthday and it was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is within walking distance of all places of historical interest. Literally around every corner there is something to see. Even our 14 year old son enjoyed it. Locals very friendly especially if you try to speak the language. All staff at the hotel more than helpful. Only downside is its next to red light district. We managed to walk through it lol. Though you wouldn't know unless you turn right on leaving the hotel. We loved our stay and would return.
The staff are absolutely outstanding and the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have met in a long time. My daughter loves hot chocolate and we’ve been having them all over Catania, Antonia in the hotel bar makes the best hot chocolate that my daughter has ever tasted ever .. So much so , we’ve checked out and then returned , just for the drink. The rooms are perfect for family’s and the split mezzanine floor worked for me and my daughter Highly recommend this hotel and it’s a stone throw from the. Main Street. Love this hotel so much
Great location in town ,close to train station about 1 km and downtown, rooms are spacious, beds great. balcony in rooms and bathrooms are very nice, would really recommend this nice hotel to couples, service and personell is excellent and I teally loved the terrace with its charming water fountain/wall,sun chairs and a good place to switch off. Too bad but no pool, but then I wouldn’t have left the hotel to discover the city
We stayed here for a few days & in summary: The location is very central & great for getting round the city, Our room was great: large & beautiful The hotel staff were universally fantastic; helpful in every single way. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough - we will be back!!!
Very comfortable hotel in a convenient location offering outstanding service. The front desk has been wonderful in assisting us with the accommodations and getting around. Antonia is in charge of the food service and the bar. He is attentive and very friendly. And makes excellent drinks.
Nice hotel with a good location. I’m very satisfied with their good service and friendly staff, ready to help you to make your trip as fun and interesting as possible. Ask Antonio, the barman, for his famous cocktails, best Aperol Spritz in town!
