The NH Catania Parco degli Aragonesi is close to the Airport of Catania but nonetheless a quite hotel with pool and private beach. Unfortunately pool and beach just open in summer and not during other times of the year. Staff was friendly and polite. Rooms are quite small but were clean. They look a little bit old-fashioned like the bathroom too. Breakfast is in the restaurant and just offers a small selection. There is also a restaurant on site but the quality of food is just average.
Ideal location for access to beautiful beach lido and good trattoria nearby. The hotel has an attractive pool area near the breakfast, bar and dining area. Friendly and helpful staff. The addition of an airport shuttle service would make it perfect!
Great bed and the terras attached to the room was a nice touch. Wonderfull breakfast. The floor in my room was broken and I had a dirty glass in the bathroom. The bathroom is outdated and needs urgent renovation
The hotel meets all my requirements for a good accommodation; Restaurant at the hotel, rooom with a terrace,a good mattress and two pillows in the bed, bathtub and make-up mirror in the bathroom, as well as a good breakfast with eggs and bacon.
My, very sizeable & local, company/factory/fabricator uses this hotel to put up employees and visiting guests/companies. Simply, this hotel is lipstick on a pig that needs significant maintenance to be done! Carpets in the halls are worn out, bathroom plumbing fixtures are loose, mirrors loose, toilet seats loose, foul smelling room/cigar smoke, non-functional A/C, and on-and-on if you look closely beyond the lipstick. It's unseasonably warm here right now in early October, but that's no excuse for non-functional A/C. The outside air is cooler than what's being blown into the room. Adding to the frustration, they have no bar service inside, and the pool bar that's supposed to be staffed sits empty. The pool is closed/roped off despite being "open." Nothing about this makes it inviting to work after hours or during down time if there is no staff to service the guests. The nicest part of the property is the pool, but I wouldn't be surprised if they cut corners here too on the pool chemicals because they have such a limited staff doing things otherwise/elsewhere. This hotel needs a desperate infusion of maintenance and staff! I will not stay here again when visiting my company. The hotel adjacent/north to here seems like a better choice based on my other colleagues comments who are staying there. Hopefully management takes this note seriously! I will make sure to complain to my local company administration about the lack of service at this hotel despite my company infusing huge money each week/month into this hotel with our employees and visiting companies staying here. Please improve!…
Great location of Hotel near airport & restaurents. Friendly Staff & swimming pool was nice & relaxing. A great selection of food during breakfast.Very welcoming & food & cocktails were good during the day.Spacious rooms & very clean & hygiene. A must while ur staying in Catania as u wont be disappointed.
Situated between Catania and the airport on a road with two other hotels a disused army camp and a beech bar which was closed there are no facilities outside the hotel such as cafes, bars and shops. The area is rather desolate. Opposite the hotel there are several entrances which lead to private beeches. The hotel gave us a token to admit us to a private beech which they said was across the road but none of the ones opposite would accept it. The hotel is medium in size and is lovely with excellent rooms perfectly prepared and very comfortable. There is no tea or coffee making kettle which is a surprise nowadays as we haven't come across a hotel for over 20 years without this. The breakfast was well presented with limited range and open from7.30 until 10am The gym was never open although we tried the door many times Pool is stated to be open from 9.0am until 8.0pm but on the first day there we tried to get a swim at 9o'clock before breakfast as reception said the pool attendant was on his way but it was roped of with a no swimming notice, in fact the ropes were not removed until 11.15. The next day it was roped off again and as a notice on the swimming attendants kiosk said swimming was from 9am we got over the ropes and had a swim and had to do this every day of our stay. Not good when it is part of the facilities that are included. We tried the restaurant one night and it was reasonably priced but had a rather odd selection of dishes but our food was quite good. Staff in the hotel were charming, friendly and helpful. We would go there again if they get their act together with the pool opening times.…
Stayed with friends, friendly and professional. Great place to stay, was lovely and clean. Fab location, near Catania and hotel has own pool and beech. Thank you for having us. Sicily was amazing, great vibe and the food and wine was amazing.
I stayed at the Parco degli Aragonesi Hotel for work. The hotel is very nice but needs a refurb becouse it is quite dated. The room is comfortable and quiet but the bathroom is really small and opening the door makes everything difficult. The staff is nice and very helpful.
Stayed here for 4 nights five days . Reception staff all lovely and a warm friendly welcome awaits. We didn’t get the room we originally booked ,but this was soon sorted out . The evening manager offered to move us the following morning, But to be honest we were more than happy with the room ,just perfect (223) It was far to hot outside to Sit on the terrace..air conditioning was very good in the room . We had booked a luxury room with terrace and garden view. It was our choice not to move ,and we came to an agreement with the reception manager that we would have a late checkout instead of a room change . Continental breakfast very good . Excellent choice of meat ,cheese ,pastries , bread And Eggs . Restaurant manager and the staff very friendly and helpful. In the mornings we caught the bus into Catania , just 1 euro outside the hotel. Well worth a look around ,beautiful Cathedral..great shopping. The afternoon we spent by the hotel pool .. plenty of sun beds . Again really helpful life guard .. always on hand to help with umbrellas and towels . We only ate one evening in the hotel ,which was very good . We absolutely loved everything about this hotel and hope to return again . Thank you to all .…
