Beautiful and spacious room. Outstanding hotel staff that were very accommodating to our every need. Lobby and dining area were very nice. Typical European breakfast buffet. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and city center historic sites. We would stay here again.

Great staff makes a good hotel great. This is a vintage, legacy hotel in central Catania, where you will find big comfy beds in well-appointed clean rooms, with space for your luggage and balconies, strong wifi and a lobby right out of the movies. What modernizes it is the young, hip, friendly, helpful staff like Valentina and Salvo who give it that jolt of new energy that puts the cherry on the cake. Thanks Valentina for the perfectly customized recommendations for drinks and food; thanks Salvo for the awesome exceptional, quick and yummy 6h45 breakfast option.

I booked this hotel for a friend after she texted me in distress due to the noisy bed and breakfast she was staying in in Catania, Not only did the Liberty Hotel let her check in early the next morning, but they upgraded her from a standard double to a luxurious suite with a balcony. When she was alone in her room, she literally wept with relief at the beautiful cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff. Thank you, Liberty Hotel, for turning a very difficult experience into one that displayed true Sicilian hospitality. As a single traveler, she was feeling quite vulnerable in a strange city, and you made her feel so safe and welcome. She appreciated the firm bed that a few others have complained about in reviews. Guess it's a matter of taste.

From the warm welcome and assistance upon arrival, every detail is in place. The staff are exceptional: professional, courteous and considerate. Places of interest in Catania were presented with appropriate detail and care to indicate the opening times, very important information in Italy!
The Liberty Hotel Lounge is beautifully furnished and most relaxing, as are the rooms. The use of high-quality fabrics and the attention to every detail creates a lovely feel of understated elegance. The bathrooms are quite stunning with mosaics, marble and mirrors galore.
Breakfast offerings were plentiful and top quality: spremuta, Sicilian pastries, and traditional northern fare with cheeses and ham. The breakfast room with tables covered in heavy linen, lovely dishes, gorgeous decor was an oasis.
The Liberty Hotel (Liberty is the Sicilian designation for Art Deco) is a delight! Five minutes from the centre and close to the airport, it is very convenient. The concierge bid goodbye to me outside the front door at five in the morning to wish me well!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Liberty Hotel. We have stayed at many different hotels in many different countries and this is one of the best. When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted warmly. To our delight we were ungraded to a beautiful suite. The suite was immaculate, updated and furnished with a comfortable sitting area and bed. We had a sound sleep as there were no city lights or noise outside to keep us awake. The breakfast was bountiful with an assortment of meats, cheese, fruits, breads and cereal. This was our first visit to Catania and the staff took time to acquaint us to the surrounding areas. The hotel is within walking distance to historic center and many of the highlights the city has to offer. Checking out the hotel manager advised on the best transportation to Taormina (bus or train) then ordered car service and gave us water for our trip. Highly recommend Liberty Hotel as the place to stay when visiting Catania.

The hotel is near the city center, there is street parking in front of the hotel for a fee. The neighbor seemed very safe and was quite enough at night. Our room had a lovely little covered balcony terrace with nice greenery and a cute little table that was somewhat private. The hotel decor is kind of an Italian deco chic, in very good taste. There is a nice garden patio area with a vine covered roof, lovely for breakfast. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, and lots of French doors. The staff was very nice, helpful and professional. There are some good locals type restaurants nearby and more upscale restaurants in the city center which is a short walk.

The Liberty Hotel is a very nice boutique hotel located in a quiet street only 5 minutes away from Via Etnea and within easy walking distance from many attractions in Catania. The management prides itself for offering a high-quality customised service, which they do. The rooms and suites are spacious and decorated in style. The staff is invariably attentive and courteous. The only curiosity is that you do not get freshly-baked bread for breakfast (apparently due to strange working patterns of the many bakeries in the vicinity), but you have plenty of other pastries to choose from. Definitely very recommendable! … unless you are looking for a room with a view (this hotel, being housed in a two-storey Liberty villa, has no views to talk about).

We spend 4 nights at Liberty Hotel, and it was one of the best hotels we had ever stayed on.

The staff (especially Silvio) was exceptionally service minded and were very helpfull e.g. suggesting restaurants, transfer to the beach and pickpointing attractions/shop.

We had breakfast in the cosy garden and we could order all that water, tea and coffee we could drink and order all the food we could eat. No buffet because of COVID-19.

The room was very beautiful and large (we had two separate rooms) and the ceiling was very high and decorated very nicely.

Minor critics: The bed was though a bit hard, but that may be individual and the shower was worn down.

We would definitely recommend Liberty Hotel.

This is a small hotel seemingly far away from all the restaurants and attractions, but actually within an easy walk of everything. It's located on a low-traffic street, so there was no street noise at night. The hotel staff were more than accommodating: they went out of their way to offer advice on restaurants, and when they gave us a map they took the time to note where the places of interest were and how to get to them. The breakfast buffet was fine, though we couldn't tell if the fried eggs we ordered were included at no extra charge (or did they forget to charge us?) We tried 2 of the 5 restaurants they suggested and gave both restaurants excellent reviews.

From the moment we arrived we had a warm welcome, staff is highly attended, the reception staff will answer any question even before you ask, location is 7 minutes walk to main street and restaurants can be find even 2 minutes walk.
The breakfast is great, they have option to pay extra but not needed. Basic includes a buffet that is more than in many other similar hotels.
Rooms are nice, just as seems in pictures ,the place is a great option and I think it's more than fine. Definitely will stay again if I will arrive to catania.

We did a lot of walking around the hotel area and did not see the rail station! Take a taxi and save yourself some grief. Ask for fixed rate/tariff (phonetically Tarifee fee-say). Good luck!
