Service in the hotel felt very standard, and nothing memorable. Check-in was standard but took a tad too long. Requests for items took a while to be delivered to our suite. Having said that, the hotel thoughtfully placed the three rooms we booked on the same floor without needing to request the arrangement. We commented to the hotel about the original suite we were assigned being stuffy, as the hotel does not turn on air conditioning during winter months. The female staff who attended to us offered the solution of swapping our suite the next day after the guests had check-out. She took the initiative of arranging for our luggage to be delivered to our new suite while exploring Sicily. We stayed in the 48 m2 Suite at Palace Catania UNA Esperienze, a duplex suite room designed with the living area on the lower floor and the sleeping area on the upper floor. We were assigned to a corner suite with a long entryway before we came to the living room. I like how Palace Catania UNA Esperienze furnished the entryway with a wardrobe, making it very convenient for us to hang our jackets. However, I find it odd that the only in-room safe is placed inside this wardrobe. There is a powder room along the corridor leading to the living room simply furnished with a sink, a large mirror and another separate room where the toilet is housed. The living room occupies most of the space on the lower floor of the duplex suite, with a small corner reserved for working. A white marble top work desk sits against the wall of the living room, which is of a good size, coupled with the power outlets on the wall. On top of using it as a work desk, the hotel also placed a Lavazza coffee machine on the work desk, doubling up as part of the minibar. An oval-shaped TV cabinet sits next to the work desk. An LCD TV is placed on top of the TV cabinet, providing entertainment, mainly in Italian, while lounging in the living room. A mini fridge is nicely hidden inside the cabinet under the TV. A black fabric three-seater couch and an armchair along the wall, next to the TV, gave us plentiful space to lounge around in the living room. The couch is placed facing the staircase leading to the second floor of The Suite instead of the TV. Another TV cabinet, this time with nothing on top, less a small “no smoking” place card. I also find it weird that the hotel did not furnish the living room with any coffee table (not as if there isn’t space for a small coffee table). The staircase leading us to the second floor of The Suite, wraps around the parameters of the wall. The bedroom has an open concept, sitting directly on top of the living room. A king bed occupies a substantial amount of space on the second floor but still leaves us a good amount of space to access the other parts of the bedroom. The sleep quality on the king bed was good, but the pillows were a tad too soft for my liking. Fortunately, Palace Catania UNA Esperienze has a pillow menu catering to the different preferences of guests. The space on bedside tables was a tad limited, leaving us just enough space to charge our mobile phones. There is another larger TV in the bedroom, mounted onto the wall above the entrance to the balcony, facing the king bed. We could still watch the TV from the king bed despite its location. Palace Catania UNA Esperienze fitted The Suite with a walk-in wardrobe, which has a generous amount of space for us to hang all our clothing. There was shelving on top of the hanging rack, which gave us additional space to store our things. An open five-tiered shelf sits by the walk-in wardrobe entrance, providing space to put our smaller clothing items. The bathroom is to the right of the king bed and has an elongated design. The sink countertop has just enough space for us to place our toiletries. Opposite the sink area sits a bathtub with shower facilities. The toilet and bidet are mounted on the wall on the same side, just after the bathtub. The Suite has a separate walk-in shower. There is no rain shower but only the regular shower head here. I find the walk-in shower space a little tight and a tad dark as the hotel did not fit any lighting at the walk-in shower. The Suite at Palace Catania UNA Esperienze has a small balcony between the lower and upper floors. The balcony is large enough for only two persons to stand on, looking out into the streets of Catania in front of the hotel.…

IT was simply fantastic as ALWAYS. Me and my friend have always booked there and believe me everything was always Top notch. We must thank especially the staff ALL OF THEM. From the receptionists to the waiters and also the cleaners. They are so so helpful, very well educated and cordial with everyone. I don’t know all their names but one of them I do as she has always been there serving us for years now and she got used to us. Her name is Ornella. She is always there serving us breakfast. It was a wonderful stay! It was a bit warm at night so we opened the windows, but then it was loud due to the music playing from local restaurants. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, it was within walking distance to many restaurants and shops and a beautiful garden. The front desk had a taxi waiting for us at our request to return to the airport.

A good hotel, great location in the centre of town, impressive breakfasts, lovely roof top bar & restaurant with a great view of Mount Etna, but unfortunately their heating system seems to be hotel wide and our room was stuck at 27C (~80F) and nothing could be done to change it.

Nice Hotel , great location, good restaurant and food. Staff very helpful. Wonderful room comfortably with a balcony. There is a great roof top that you can see the most part of Catania and the Vulcan Etna. Fantastic sun set from there.

This is an amazing hotel in a wonderful location with an extraordinary view of Mt. Etna. The reception staff is very professional and Rita was amazing! She gave us tips on things to do and even helped us book a tour when our Viator tour fell through. Breakfast here is very good and the rooftop bar is awesome with amazing views and a great bar staff! My only complaint is that the street view rooms you can hear outside all night, but that is it. If you're a light sleeper you might want to forego the gorgeus view of Etna. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

Hotel in an excellent location. The hotel staff is very professional. The room is clean. The standard room is small and we upgraded it. Parking is very problematic and in order to get to the hotel you will have to accept a fine of 90 euros!!! ....

The hotel is in the full centre of the city, the rooms are cozy and super clean. It has a parking next to it and the roof top has the best view in town for the Etna mountain, also very convenient to visit the old centre and nearby the best restaurants.

The location of this hotel cannot be beaten. It is centrally located in the heart of Catania, surrounded by countless restaurants, shops, and places of interest. The hotel is in pretty good condition, although the beds are a bit lumpy and the air conditioning is turned off in the winter months (which many hotels due, but it was a bit stuffy). The staff and the breakfast were superb. Be prepared to pay an additional fee for (secure) parking.

We were in Catania for a short holiday. The hotel is bang in the centre of Catania. Albeit a bit on the expensive side, this hotel is very clean, well kept, modern, and spacious. We had a quadruple room, which was duplex. As soon as you enter the room you find a wardrobe (with safe) on one side, and large bathroom (toilet and sink, on shower) on the other side. Next up is a living area with a sofa bed, which in our case was opened into a bed since we needed the four spaces. Complementing this was a TV **, a mini-bar (with drinks at an extra cost), and an espresso machine (with complimentary pods) ** The TV had a defective antenna socket and a remote without batteries. We asked reception two or three times to fix it, but it wasn't. This is our only complaint about this hotel. Upstairs was another double bed (super comfortable, with three sizes of pillows each side), a TV, a large walk-in wardrobe, and a large bathroom, including a bidé. Apart from the usual soap bars and body wash, there were kits for shaving, teeth cleaning kits, hair conditioner (one normal, and another with keratin treatment), and other things. Breakfast is quite good and has quite a selection. You can eat inside or outside, eitherway enjoying a view of the Etna. The breakfast staff is super-friendly, especially Mina, who was very nice to us and made sure we got the best service possible, even remembering our kids' requests and preparing things for them from one day to another.…
