Very centrally located B&B, near to the Teatro Massimo. Our room was large, quiet, and had a nice, well-sized bathroom. There's a handy taxi rank a short walk away if you take a left on via Roma, handy for going to Monreale if you aren't taking the bus there.

What a joy it was to stay here. In addition to providing excellent accommodations in a very vibrant area of Palermo (near the Teatro and markets), Elena, the innkeeper, provided a HUGE Sicilian breakfast each morning and helped my sister and I plan our day. She is 100% WONDERFUL. Her Inn is a must-stay for me on return visits. It...

After arranging a cab to pick us up at the airport (so appreciated), Elena warmly welcomed us to her beautiful B&B. We loved hearing about the history of her family's home, located on a quiet street in the old historic part of Palermo and within easy walking distance of great restaurants, the Teatro Massimo, the markets, the Norman Palace, the...

Very nice room, spotless washroom, lovely hostess, Elena, and did I say clean, and comfortable? Also, felt very safe, amongst other nice guests. Breakfast in the dining room was good as well, but could use coffee a bit earlier, although the coffee was lovely. This charming little spot was very comfortable for our days in Palermo. Definitely recommended!

Cosy B&B is in a nice old house downtown Palermo. Most of Palermo's attractions are very easily reachable from there. Elena's friendly, helpful and knows the city very well. She can give the most useful suggestions. The place is kept in great conditions and perfectly clean. Tipical restaurants and lively places are all around. Being downtown Palermo, it's perfect for...

What a wonderful place to stay. Our first days of our journey through Sicily started in Palermo. Outside it was 40 degrees, but our rooms at L'Olivella B&B were very cool thanks to the airconditioning. The rooms are very stylish (with high ceilings), clean and fresh. In the centre of Palermo, just one minute walk from Teatro Massimo, the B&B...

I wake up a queen. As I enter the breakfast room I delight in the food laid out for me: flat white peaches, ripe, soft apricots, dark cherries, small cookies coated in flaked almonds, soft square sponges of apple cake on a white and gold ceramic stand. Next to it, a shortbread tart sweetened with red jam and chocolate. Heart-shaped...

Loved this beautiful B&B! Would highly recommend it to everyone! Huge, stunning room with high ceiling, authentic windows and quaint balcony. It is well located in the city and secure parking is nearby which was recommended by Elena the host. Elena changes the breakfast options daily with fruit, cheeses, hams and pastries one day to pancakes, jellies, and smoothies the...

On February 11th and 12th we revisited Elena, our first visit was so delightful we wanted to show our friends. We were just as happy as the first time, and our friends were really impressed. The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed. There is great attention to detail, such as the lovely bio soap and towels and bed linens of...

We loved our stay in this fantastic small B&B. Booking was easy through Airb'n'b and we used the airport bus to get into this part of town. Our room was elegant and airy, the bathroom was modern and spotless, and the location was just perfect for exploring the fascinating city of Palermo. Our room was very quiet and cool -...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of the historical centre where in a maze of narrow streets it is still possible to find the colours and flavours of authentic Palermo, Elena has opened the doors of her house to those who want to discover the city through the eyes of a traveller. In a "liberty" style building that was for years a famous silver factory, Elena has renovated the ancient rooms of her great grandfather's residence to offer guests a pleasant and charming stay, with an informal and warm atmosphere. The L'Olivella B&B will astonish you with its marvellous fresco art ceilings, its perfectly preserved floors and the original furnishings, which will tell you a one hundred year history. ... more   less
