Refined Boutique Hotel of 18 rooms in the heart of the old town of Palermo, Palazzo Brunaccini is a building where the charm of its history and the elegance of its design have a perfect balance. For its central position, very close to the Ballaro ancient market and the major sites of UNESCO in Palermo, it is the perfect place for those who are planning a walking tour of the city, for a deep discovery of its dynamic and cosmopolitan areas. Its romantic details and the Deluxe rooms provided with double-seat Jacuzzi or the elegant Suite rooms, makes Palazzo Brunaccini the perfect hotel for a romantic escape or honey-moon travel. The hotel has 18 rooms on different levels, all created with the focus on our guests’ demands: marvelous wooden beam ceilings, romantic poster beds, furnished patios, lofts and precious pieces of antique period furniture. The hotel is equipped with a very charming and unique restaurant that offer 100% biological local products and wines that remind the ancient flavors of the traditional Sicilian cuisine.

Good location, room was adequate for the price, a smaller ground floor room, food was good. Upon checkout a fraudulent double charge was attempted, I had paid for the room in advance upon booking. They insisted I had not until 20mins later they finally relented when I showed them my credit card charge and threatened to call the police. Additionally, upon checking in, I was given a card saying breakfast included. Upon check out I was charged 3 days breakfast, they admitted to their error and insisted I pay regardless. A complimentary drink was also promised, they charged for that claiming I spoke to the wrong server and so i was charged. This is now 42 euro I was overcharged. The room picked up every noise from the restaurant. I was out to midnight first two nights, so not too bad. On night three an incredibly loud drunk party lasted until 315am... request to quiet down ignored. In short some good aspects outweighed by inconsistencies. There was no respect for guests and attempted fraud upon check out

Located in the immediate proximity to Ballaró’s open-air market, Palazzo Brunaccini is an unexpected oasis of sumptuous sophistication. Being a Venetian, I know how difficult it is to make a comfortable abode out of a historical palace. Palazzo Brunaccini is an excellent success story under this perspective. I couldn’t stay long but still had the time to enjoy the view from the balcony, cleanest towels and blankets, and amazing kindness of all the staff. The receptionist booked a taxi for the early morning and I was on time for my flight back.

Never have hotel staff and booking agents cared so less for the customer. Truly shocking. Next door to the hotel are active drug dealers and junkies, I couldn’t check out fast enough. They told me I made an impression in 20 minutes, First impressions are everything and it took me 1 minute , they are lucky I gave them the time to check out the room. I was billed for the full 4 nights and they cared little about my reasons for leaving: Shame

A wonderful find. It is situated in an older area close to the main railway and bus stations. It is a stunner. Beautifully appointed with exquisite furniture and paintings in the public area and in our case a large, clean and interesting twin room. I wished we had booked for longer. Excellent value for money

This is a quaint hotel located in the heart of the city . It’s good for a short stay . The rooms are small and not much view. Good hospitality and service .The surrounding area is concerning and you can miss this hotel easily.

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique Hotel in the heart of historic part of town, a few walking blocks from Via Maqueda, close to the Ballaro' historic, oldest and largest food market in Palermo. Ballarò is also a must for anyone wanting to try Palermo's street food and for fans of street art. The Palermo Cathedral is also at a walking distance. Same area where the Leonardo Sciascia library is located (Sciascia is one of the most famous contemporary writer), next to the Church of the Gesu', one of the most important Baroque churches in Sicily (piazza Casa Professa). The strusture has been fully remodeled, keeping the old elegant charm, the rooms are beautiful and elegant. Display of Sicilian puppets, historical items, beautiful carpets and period furniture make you feel at home in Sicily. Staff was extremely hospitable and helpful, breakfast various and abundant. We will use this hotel again.

We wanted to stay in the historic area of Palermo and opted for this hotel. Sadly, what we didn't know was that the hotel was situated in a very run down area, full of migrants with a lot of beggars and with drug addicts congregating on the steps of the building opposite the hotel. The police were there frequently trying to move them on. We simply didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel after dark and, to cap it all, our car was broken into (a window smashed) one night, along with another guest's car. The initial receptionist, (Francesco?) was super helpful when we arrived, but he was only on that evening and the following morning and subsequent receptionists were far less so. In fact the receptionist dealing with the break-in didn't seem to be bothered at all. The car was parked right outside the hotel with its nose almost to the front door, but it transpired that this was public land and not, as we had supposed as it was a cul-de-sac, hotel owned land. There was no signage to say that cars were parked at the owner's risk. The hotel itself was elegant downstairs and I think the bedrooms varied in style. Our superior room was in the eaves and it was huge, but very gloomy as it was devoid of colour other than black, cream and brown and all the windows were at a lowish level. The bathroom was dark and contained the only mirror in the whole suite, but to our surprise a third room in the suite contained a hot tub - not something we had asked for or knew we were getting. Anyway, the room was fairly quiet and comfortable and the gloominess didn't matter after dark (in fact, the first day receptionist kindly found us another standard lamp which helped with the gloom. The breakfast was poor - very little cooked and even the toast was done in the back somewhere and then brought out and left on a plate on the buffet, by which time it was cold. We, and some other guests we were taking to, felt that the breakfast was well below the standard expected of a supposedly 4* hotel. So all in all a disappointing stay, though I have to commend the doorman/porter who spoke no English but was unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Oh that all the staff could have been like him.

This is supposedly a 4 star hotel and the decor and rooms may warrant this rating however several of the staff seemed unhelpful and disinterested. For example we returned to thé hotel around 4:00 and asked for a cup of tea. It seemed like it was too much to ask and when it came it was barely tepid. The bartender looked like he had just appeared from the local garage after work. The waiter was excellent and the meal was good. On our final night there was an ‘event’ and despite being on the top floor the music was deafening until 1:00.

Dear Robyn, we're sorry that you feel disinterest on the behaviour of our staff. We're used to take care of our guests and so we're really sorry about it. Our bar open at 6pm so when you ask something to the bartender at 4pm he was not still working but, as you said, he was cleaning and was so kind to served you insted of said "it's closed". Our hotel is yes a 4 stars but it's also a little bit like home where everyone is available and tries to do everything to pamper our guests. Finally, about the event we're sorry that you hear music, usually no one complains about this. We'll check this issue in order to solve it and not bored other guest in other times. Best regards Adriana

I stayed here on 28-02 to 01-03, booked through SnapTravel. I booked an additional night for 05-03 to 06-03 through TripAdvisor Plus before awareness of hot water and wifi issues. The manager, Adriana Sole, lied to TripAdvisor Plus when I requested a cancellation for refund that I never contacted for refund. I am attaching the original email (sent during the stay) and the TripAdvisor Plus correspondence. I arrived 11 PM after a late flight. There wasn't running hot water, which I realized after two minutes of warm water rapidly turning freezing cold. I emailed them in the middle of the night and received no response. I was stayed with my toddler and husband. We showered in cold water. There was not working wifi because the voucher code was invalid. It was fixed in the morning after I called back. They are refusing the cancel my subsequent stay despite the obvious issues. Not acceptable and inhumane. Warm water in the winter is a necessity, not a privilege. I filed a dispute with Amex. And yes, on the library steps, you will see homeless drug addicts injecting heroin. Not safe at night.

We'd like to reply copying the e-mail that we received from this guest and our reply. Dear Mrs Sarpal, we’re sorry about what you complain in this e-mail. We excuse for the disservice and also to have not reply to your e-mail that was delivered to our SPAM. We used to reply to everyone, even more in such cases. However, if something is not working in room is quite common to call Reception and ask to solve it. No one of our Staff received a call asking help for this problem that could be solved changing your room. It’s obviouse that a baby, as also an adult, couldn’t have a cold shower. We’re hugely disappointed to read your e-mail because we are not used to work in this way neither to received threats that, in any case, do not scare us because we are aware of how we work and the services we offer. It was a malfunctioning of the hot water system in your room that, as I said before, could be fixed or immediately solved with a room change. Things can be broken, problem can be solved, simply ask for it. We think that if you call us (our Reception is open 24h) instead of write an e-mail at 1.57am everything will be solved and today we’re not writing this complains. So, we exhort TripAdvisor and HotelBeds (the Wholesaler from which we received reservation) to check with Hotel Management any connected complications. Sorry again to Mrs Sarpal and Mr Annaloro to not having had the opportunity to solve the problem or to personally apologize for the misdeed, because also at check-out time no one said nothing to us. Attached is your complete lies, and I will leave reviews everywhere, including TripAdvisor, Google, Amex, FB, because usually clearly are lying about not receiving my email. Your staff even gave an updated wifi password in the morning before check out. It is one thing to admit your fault, it is another to LIE. I will post this message from TripAdvisor, and my original email. You let my child and I shower in ICE COLD Water. Please respond or I will file a dispute with Amex. Thank you, Rachel Sarpal +1 516 870 8998 ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Rachel S <rachel.sarpal@gmail.com> Date: Tue, Mar 1, 2022, 1:57 AM Subject: Rm 102 - Cold Water, Wifi Voucher Invalid To: <booking@palazzobrunaccini.it> Cc: Francesco Annaloro <frank.annaloro@icloud.com> Good day, L'italiano è sotto. This is Rachel Sarpal, partner to Francesco Annaloro, cc'd to this email. We are in Room 102, checked in tonight, 28/02 into 01/03. Understandably, we checked in late tonight as our flight arrived, however, the situation is deplorable. There was momentary hot running water in the shower (~2 minutes) and then it was immensely freezing. The hot water is not working. Additionally, the wifi voucher does NOT work. I need the water and wifi voucher issues fixed as soon as possible. We have a 2 year old in the room who absolutely needs a shower in the morning, as well as my partner, Francesco. We will be staying again on 05/03 into 06/03. I am hoping we won't be running into these issues again. I'm not sure if you had an issue with us booking through a third party booking service, but warm water in the winter is a necessity, not a privilege. Thank you, Rachel Sarpal +1 516 870 8998

We looked for a small sized City accomodation and we found Palazzo Brunacchin, just steps from bustling heart of Palermo. Look to their wvey good website. Very professional. Quatro Canti is just some hundred meters away. We cam late with ´ferry boat from Genova, with car and dog. Found the hotel quiet easily with GPS, without not possible. A very warm welcome by the concierge followed. We stayed 2 nights, we would have stayed longer but time for our November holidays were limited.Room was large eind high ceiling small french balcony to the stereet. very quiet qarter (but it was Winter) O) The best street market is yjust around the corner. Room was very good and all ameniets were provided what you expect from a 4* hotel. The peronal atmosphere from everyone is great! Breakfast was served in the same salons wher Da Carlo serves one of the finest food in Palermo. See my ebntry on the Restaurant section. Breakfast was served (in Winter) from a small list, but we missed nothing. An the breakfast service was one of the best we ever had in Italy. The lady was so charming and natural friendly - this is true hospitality we very much apreciate. The quality of all eggs, fruits (we got fresh cactus) figolini (?) we never tasted before, and cold cuts from very good quality as well as the rest. The two homemade tartelets were superb. Some would think the area is not so chic, but this is Palermo and it is better then glass and steel you find every whrer. The Palazzo is rnovated and you see, there are peopkle who care, and the guest apreciate this well.
