A 350 metri parcheggio custodito. Good location for access to the centre. Very nice place. The staff are polite and accommodating. There are couple of charming gardens and breakfast is what you would hope for. Room was big and comfortable. Recommend for couples. Ran out of adjectives but required to fill at least 200 characters....

We are a french couple who decided to tour around sicily for leasure over a 13 days period, and Palermo was our first sop after arrival. We found our hosting experience at Giardino del Ballaro exquisite. The hotel offers a picturesque decorum in a very old building center, Palermo. The whole house and its bedrooms were renovated with taste, the common lobbies are very comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent. We will conclude by praising the people we met there for welcoming us and preparing breakfast. A very good and customer oriented team! Thanks to all for this excellent stay in your walls over 3 nights.

This hotel is a well located gem. So stylish. Our room was beautiful and the lounge inviting and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent with variety and different dishes on each day. The staff were exceptionally helpful and booked restaurants, taxis and suggested visits which were informed by deep local knowledge. So good and would recommend.

As the taxi took us from the train station to our B&B, we got a bit concerned about where we were staying. The neighborhood was bustling, streets narrow and the buildings looked a bit worn. However, when we arrived at Il Giardino di Ballaro, we were escorted into a beautiful oasis. The public space of this B&B has an expansive lounge area with a large dining an area where breakfast is served. There is also a court yard where in warmer weather, breakfast is offered. Aurora checked us in and took us to our room. We rented a suite for four nights, which was spacious and had two separate bathrooms. She also arranged for the hotel to do our laundry at a reasonable price so we could maximize our time touring Palermo. Even before, we arrived Aurora and Danielle has helped us with dinner reservations. The B&B offers breakfast each morning with different offerings every morning. Breakfast allowed us to interact with other guests as well. The B&B is in a convenient location with easy access to all the major attractions around Palermo. After several busy days of travel, Il Giardino de Ballaro was a a peaceful comfortable place to unwind and rest.

The Il Giardino di Ballaro was absolutely lovely. The staff was warm and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The building and foyer itself was attractive. And the location was fantastic. Could walk everywhere. The market was around the corner and very fun to see, eat, purchase … Daniela was always there to answer a question. Very kind. So happy we found this gem.

We were concerned on arrival, as we came at night and it looked like a dodgy part of the city. This turned out to be ok. Daylight cured everything. The parking is not actually at the hotel but close by. DON'T trust Google maps. Park close and walk over to register. Aurora, the manager, was very sweet and helpful as was Daniella. The location is excellent and I definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I who are in our early 70's and our daughter who is 43 visited Palermo and stayed at Il Giardino di Ballaro in early February, 2023. It is located in the "historic" district of Palermo. This implies many things. It is very near, even walking distance, of many interesting cultural sites and about a block from one of the three outdoor markets. It also implies that the streets are very narrow there. Actually, many Americans would think they are alleys. Parking there is not easy, but it can be done. Some Americans would think that there is a lot of disorder here with the cars zooming buy and especially the motor bikes. After awhile I became convinced that there was an order to it all. In fact, the ambience of the area is very interesting. I felt very safe there. In regard to the Il Giardino di Ballaro, I cannot say enough good things. I would rate it 10 out 10 in every category. We had a very comfortable room for three with two bathrooms. It was an old bakery at one time. What Aurora and her mother have done to redo the place is incredible. The common area is spacious and very inviting. However, be aware that due to the nature of the building, there is no elevator. There are two gardens. One has a giant banana tree, a grapefruit tree that had many grapefruits and a big fig tree. Aurora is extremely helpful in many ways. She speaks good English and is well educated and knowledgeable on the history and cultural sites and food sies of Palermo. I recommend using her for help, ideas and suggestions on your visit. You will be well taken by her and her helper Donna who also speaks English. I could say much more but it would be best if you find out for yourself how great Palermo is and that Il Giardino di Ballaro is the place to be, especially if you want to walk. Cesare Muccari

We stayed at Giardino di Ballaro in January for 4 nights and we were so happy with our choice. It feels like you are staying in a stylish home and Aurora and the other staff are so friendly and helpful. They made restaurant bookings for us (excellent) and helped with local advice. Our family of three was well-accommodated in a comfortable room with two beds and two bathrooms. It is easy to explore Palermo on foot from here, with some of the highlights close by. Car parking is also close, just up the road. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel/bed and breakfast.

Beautiful hotel, Beautiful room (Quasimodo) with roof window to admire the stars at night. The staff is extraordinary: a cake with candle and a song for my birthday. Breakfast is very good (eggs, ham, salami, sweets, cereals, fruits).

My family stayed in Il Giardino di Ballara for one week in January and had the most amazing stay. The location is perfect for exploring Palermo with everything in the city within walking distance. The rooms are appointed beautifully with comfortable beds, super showers and lovely indoor and outdoor places to unwind. The breakfasts were so delicious and they went out of their way to provide my daughter who has a milk allergy with every kind of substitution. Aurora and her team are absolutely fantastic at making you feel welcome and helping you to make the most of your time in Palermo. They helped us with restaurant reservations, tour guides and tips on what was happening in Palermo during the week that we stayed. I can't recommend Il Giardino di Ballaro enough. I actually can't wait to go back.
