We booked this hotel directly with them months ago for two adult and two small children. We contacted them numerous times to advise that we will arrived late and that we needed parking. They advised that they will wait for us and book a parking nearby so we didn't have to worry about finding a parking late at night. We...

Dear Madame, We are deeply sorry, we always try to do our best but mistake lies always around the corner unfortunately. Overbooking is a common situation for all the Hotels and this is the very first time we find ourselves in such a disappointing situation. That said, we need to underline that once the mistake occurred we did all our...

Il Giardino di Ballaro is a real oasis of tranquility amidst a dirty noisy area of Palermo. The old house, which was a bakery previously, has been renovated with a lot of care and good taste. We were greeted by young, polite and multilingual staff, and we felt very welcomed from the very start. The room (Quasimodo) is tastefully decorated....

This B&B is situated inside the historic district in a very old building that used to be a stable. It has been tastefully restored and expanded, and is a lovely and comfortable place to stay, within walking distance of the Ballero Market, the beautiful opera theater, and other sights. Driving and parking are NOT easy in the historic district. If...

I was amazed to find such a great place in the middle of the dilapidated streets of Ballaro. I had no idea what the area would be like, but I knew that it was very close to one of the great street markets of the city and in a labyrinth of little streets and alleys. I had a taxi to...

Our first time in Palermo, we made our way through the narrow dilapidated streets and the bustling Ballaro market and were amazed when we entered the b&b to a very open, modern foyer/lounge/office area.....very swish. The staff were welcoming and spent time explaining the locale and the map provided was to be indispensible ......still managed to get lost around the...

The B&B was perfect for our stay in Palermo. The room we had (giardino) was a larger bedroom that faced the garden. It was quiet and clean. The kids had a smaller room to the side, a bit smaller and it did have a slight smell (humidity?). The breakfast was adequate and they had a person there always asking if...

This hotel is in the old Central area of busy noisy streets and colourful markets and dogs barking through the night. It is also within walking distance of the main city attractions. The front door is just inches from the street but entry reveals an oasis of calm carved out of an old bakery, and a great renovated reception area...

We chose Il Giardino as our first stop in our tour of Sicily and ... what a good choice! Ludovica and Aurora are doing an excellent job at making you feel good right upon your arrival and all along your stay through good visits picks and restaurants guidance. In the meantime the place is quiet in the rather agitated town...

We spent 2 nights at Il Giardino di Ballaro and we were warmly received and given the best attention throughout our stay. The B&B itself is a gem, a beautifully refurbished historical building, with arches from 500 AD, decorated tastefully and run by a kind Sicilian family. The location is perfect for exploring the old Palermo on foot, a few...
