Our hotel was no where near the airport in Palermo, so expect to pay a hefty taxi fee to get there if you arrive by plane. Once at the hotel though, it is situated very close to all the major streets for sight seeing and shopping. The wifi worked great and the a.c. was fine in the hot July days....

On the positive side - Hotel Del Centro is well located, very clean throughout, has and excellent and very complete breakfast, fairly spacious rooms, private baths, excellent security, and a lift. The 24hr front desk staff spoke very good English and were super helpful! On the negative side - The internet was a little quirky to get logged on and...

Nice hotel with service. The hotel is clean and the rooms are with airco and heating. Ask the reception for it. Breakfast is ok and with local pies and cookies. The hotel is in the centre and the bus is in front of the hotel. For visiteurs in a wheelchair iT is nog appropriate. There is a elevator for the...

Lovely hotel, great location, helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was enjoyable, fresh pastries and fresh made to order coffee. Spacious rooms, fresh linen every two days. Big firm pillows which in Italy is rare.

We stayed at this venue for 5 nights and used it as a base to visit not only the city but other town and cities in the area. As a consequence we wanted a venue close to both bus and train. This venue fitted our requirements very well. Hotel is situated on the 2nd floor of a multi story building...

Hotel del Centro is a good place for budget travelers who plan to spend most of their time exploring Palermo, not hanging out in a room. It's an easy walk from the train and bus stations, and is also within walking distance of the great street markets of Palermo and many of the city's other attractions. The lobby is nice...

This hotel is within walking distance of the bus and train station, really handy for catching the shuttle bus to the airport for instance. The hotel doesn't pretend to be anything other than a pleasant but basic place, great for one or two nights we believe, and good enough value for money. It is comfortable and clean. Our room was...

Got off the coach from the airport , crossed the road , headed down via Roma for 5 minutes and arrived at the hotel. Nice place on the second floor . First night and Palermo lived up to its reputation as "the noisiest city in Italy " .asked to change rooms the next day ,not a problem new room was...

We stayed 3 nights on the start of our tour around Sicily. It is on Via Roma, Very busy street. Hotel is on the second floor - this building hosts a couple of hotels and business. Good reception staff. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and they held our bags for us. They also organised a transfer from the...

The staff was congenial and helpful. I was there for one night during a heat wave. I think the breakfast area should be air conditioned and certain foods placed on ice. The room was cool, quiet, and comfortable; the curtains needed freshening up. The clean bathroom was roomy with excellent shower and toilet facilities. The vintage architecture inside the hotel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the capital of island, among Baroque churches and markets of Islamic memory, there is the Hotel del Centro with all mod cons. The Hotel del Centro has opened recently and it is situated in the old town centre of Palermo very close to the most important monuments, such as The Cathedral, The Massimo Theatre, The Vucciria Market and so on; moreover it is only 100 metres away from the Central Station of Palermo, in the neighbourhood of which there are the arrivals and departures of the buses for the airport and the whole Sicily. You can easily get to the Hotel del Centro from the Port of Palermo, which is about 1 Km away from the hotel. Staying at the Hotel del Centro, you will be able to walk through Palermo and you will enjoy the atmosphere and the folklore of the popular markets of the city. The Hotel del Centro, which is in a suggestive period building, is very comfortable. There are rooms with bath, shower, phone, TV, air conditioning, windows no-noise, hairdryer, Wireless Internet Access and skilled workers at your complete disposal. ... more   less

“We were happy to be on the 2nd floor rather than the 3rd, and did not mind the noise from via Roma because of the good windows. The single bed for our adult daughter was a proper bed, which is not always the case in triple rooms, and she slept well in it.”
