Donnatella saved my holiday! I booked elsewhere and it wasn't what we expected......fortunately after 1 night I found this historic Palacio. Donnatella and her small team made us feel as though we were staying in their family home. Such a peaceful location in the centre of a bustling historical centre. When we return to Palermo, we will come home to...

A very reasonably priced room, very attractive with good bathroom. Charming inner court. Very good breakfast. Proprietor Donnatella will collect at the airport. Very charming and helpful lady, who speaks English. Very good position in the old town. Nice cat.

Al Giardino dell'Alloro is a wonderful place to stay if you visit Palermo. I organise EU funded (Erasmus+) cultural heritage courses for European teachers in many places of Europe. Last week (15-21 February 2016) we had a group in this B&B. All course participants were very content about the place: the centre of old Palermo, fine and affordable rooms, good...

To Donatella and her amazing staff, Gracie for making everything perfect for our week long stay. We highly recommend this B & B which is near all sites but far enough from the traffic to provide a quiet environ after day long touring. Especially appreciated the parking garage and facility security.

We had a great stay at Al Giardino Del Alloro. Great location, in between Palermo’s historic center and La Kalsa, close to the seafront and many attractions (don’t miss the Iglesia de San Cataldo and the puppet theater shows). The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean and the owner (Donatella) and staff (Murali and Myrian) are very kind and helpful....

We spent 14 days here in late April and found it an ideal place to stay: comfortable, clean, well appointed, good service, quiet, located in the old city close to museums, interesting churches and palaces, and in easy walking distance from the airport bus, the railway station and the sea front. Donatella was most helpful and speaks good English.

Al Giardino dell'Alloro is a wonderful B and B tucked away in a quiet corner of the medieval part of Palermo. The rooms are very well appointed, and the owner was incredibly helpful with suggestions of where to eat and where to stay the next night. The breakfast was pretty basic, but in every other way this was a great...

I stayed here for 2 weeks in late September-early October 2014. I always slept through breakfast, just because that's a luxury I don't have back in the States, so I cannot comment on the breakfast. But I had a wonderful time here. My single room was right outside the breakfast nook on the first floor, looking out onto the beautiful...

We recently spent three nights at this B & B and were glad we did. Following the directions on the B & B's website, we found it an easy 15 minute walk from the train station. It was easy to find. Palermo can be an unnerving city, noisy and crowded but this B & B is located in the older...

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your words. I’m very happy that you stayed well in my b&b and that you thanks for recommending our B & B to other guests. We're improving the system of wi-fi, so when you come back there will be no such problem. Thanks from the staff of the b&b

Room clean and air-conditioning good but wi-fi unreliable (had to re- log-in every day and often didn't work). Breakfast very poor - bread/pasties dry, coffee awful, fruit under-ripe (peach looked like a green apple!). Also dreadful muddle over booking (nearly got charged for 3rd room we had cancelled 6 weeks before our visit). Advice: book and make changes if needed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the historical centre of the city, inside the quarter of the Kalsa, just opposite Villa dell’Alloro, our bed&breakfast is different from the others. We have called it "b&b&arts": in the rooms and the communal spaces you will find paintings, photographs and sculptures of contemporary Sicilian artists. You will find not only well-furnished rooms, where every colour tones in with the idea the room expresses, but also wide communal spaces and a luminous courtyard where breakfast is served in summer and where you can spend your time chatting and relaxing. All rooms are equipped with bathroom with shower inside the room, hot-cold air-conditioning, electronic key that allows access to the whole structure, safe, LED TV, wi-fi free and many other amenities. The rooms are serviced by private elevator, and overlook a quiet courtyard, where you can spend your free time. ... more   less
