Palermo is a very noisy city, and this hotel is in the heart of the city. For ‘old school charm’ read ‘no double glazing’. Bring ear plugs as the noise runs throughout the night, we found the wax ones worked best. The Hotel is central to Palermo old town. It is 'Grand' in appearance both inside and out, but the...

This is a non five star five star. Formally it certainly meets all criteria but rooms are just too old fashioned and out of time to truly give you the feeling of luxury. Yet you got to admire the determination with which staff and director steam this 19th century grand hotel. And some of the Art Deco glassworks are just...

The central location is convenient for opera, shops and car hire returns. Very recently redecorated so ignore older reviews about tiredness. Our room was small but very comfortable, though air conditioning was not yet switched on. Our main gripe is its rating. Can't be a five star with no restaurant. New style is Empire (wall to wall Napoleon) - a...

The location is really right in the action and is great. Easy to get around on for to the markets, the walking street and the Opera House and much more of the historical city. The Hotel Wagner is nice but it is getting tired . Our room was nice and big but lacked furniture to make the room comfortable. The...

This hotel is in a renovated palazzo in old town Palermo, across the street from a house where Ricard Wagner worked on his opera Parsifal. It is very beautiful -- all marble and polished wood. A wonderful setting for a special trip. I also found it to be reasonably priced. It is walking distance to all the important sites. The...

Visited few years back for our last night in Palermo after a Sicily tour and we really enjoyed it. It is very well located with friendly staff...It has a classical decoration and the room was fully equipped with a kitchenette and fridge, everything was neat and clean...I remember enjoying a good night sleep after driving the whole day...I would highly...

Everything about this historical property was exceptional. A former wardrobe building for the theatre across the street, this hotel will transport you back in time to an era of elegance and nobility. Old world service and charm, with every modern convenience at your disposal. Our three teenage children appreciated the high-speed internet while my husband and I took in the...

Ten stair steps from street to lobby. Alternatively, around the corner from the main entrance is an unprotected, exposed to the elements, locked door. Call ahead to hotel in order alert staff who will provde access to and operate a stair lift. Time from call to lobby was about ten minutes. No shower grab bar. There was an accident alarm...

Very conveniently located in the heart of the city. Magnificient décor, impeccably maintained down to the details (which is not easy to accomplish). Clean and functional. In a Senior Suite on first floor, I could sleep well. Perhaps because of the low season, breakfast was being served downstairs underground instead of on the top floor, which I thought was a...
