This hotel offered a taxi service from the airport, which we took, and it made life so much easier. We arrived and were met and checked in by the owner, who arranged for our bags to be carried up to our second floor room (no lift). The room was huge and comfortable, with clean sheets and towels every day. The...

We spent three days in Ortigia. You will not be disappointed with this lovely island, there is so much to see. Hotel was clean, inexpensive and the staff was helpful and kind. Location was ok, but again you get what you pay for but it was pleasant. One block from the market, three blocks from the parking garage and at...

We were moved hotel by Expedia before even staying a night. We had booked a room for 2 adults and a child and told our booking was incorrect & should pay extra for the child. Room was on second floor, no lift or offer of help with luggage. Wifi didn't work and no help with parking. Plus a school trip...

Great hotel for a short stay in Syracuse - perfect location for shops and nightlife. Found a room at very short notice - basic but clean and quiet and even waited 10 minutes in a parking space whilst I negotiated the one-way system. Good breakfast and very reasonable.

This place is highly recommendable. We stayed here a family of four with two teenage daughters for 3 nights. The place is ideally located with easy access to Ortigia with shops, restaurant and historical sights. WIFI works well and is free. We arrived on a saturday evening where it was impossible to get free parking (and hard even to find...

Lovely clean and close to everything in old town and bus 1 to access rest of Syracuse. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast great, rooms clean big and airy. Lots of foyers to sit. Only issue would be if you were old or a bit disabled, it's a long way up to third floor

On the north end of Ortygia, just a 10 - 15 minute walk from the bus station, this hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy the lovely old part of Siracusa. You can walk the length of Ortygia in 10 minutes or so, so you are close to fabulous sights and restaurants, yet on a quiet street away from...

+ good location on a quiet street, approx. 5 minutes to the centre of the city with lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and shops + big room with brand new bathroom + free wifi everywhere + very helpful staff at the reception, they let us print our boarding passes without any extra charges + breakfast is good, not only sweet,...

I recommend this place for travelers looking for a nice, discreet and well situated hotel that won't break the bank. For our first time in Ortigia I think we chose just the right place. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet street in Ortigia which is conveniently across from a covered pay parking lot where our rental car was...

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Mastrarua. The hotel is on the non-tourist north side of Ortygia, so it's a longer walk to the central plaza and shops, in a local neighborhood where there are still a few abandoned houses, but we always felt safe, and it was easy to walk to the local buses and also along...

“Front rooms have balconies with a slant sea view (down the street, building directly across). But most rooms have balconies and top floor 2 terraces. Rooms are nice, but if a sea view is a priority, there might be better choices.”
