For a 4 star hotel there is very little good that I can say about it. We were a party of 7, 3.5 couples. For a 4 night stay, one couple had ants in their bed (they had no food in their bed or luggage) the hotel gave them a can of bug spray! The day that we arrived was...

This small hotel is located in a convenient area with lovely views and adjacent to a beautiful park. The rooms were very nice and comfortable with balcony's overlooking the courtyard and sea. The front desk staff was a bit curt but helpful. The restaurant offered a very extensive breakfast buffet and the dining area was nice. Opt out of the...

This hotel is quite classy. We knew it would be nice, but were pleasantly surprised by the view of the harbor and Etna in the distance. A bit difficult to find as there were many road closures and detours due to the upcoming G7 Summit taking place later this month. So it was a relief that parking was easy within...

First, this hotel sits atop the road to Taormina overlooking the blue green sea and in the shadow of Mt Etna. I believe all the rooms have terraces like ours with this incredible vista. It was strategically located within walking distance of the main road atop Taormina with access to the best restaurants. The dining hall was large and elegant with...

Recently returned from a pleasant trip to Taormina, staying at the Hotel Villa Diodoro. First impressions were that of a quintessential Italian hotel of the early 20th century, possibly in need of a little TLC. However the friendliness of the staff, the amazing view from our room and it’s proximity to the town centre all made for a lovely holiday...

Great location high up on the side of a mountain and a nice walk to Taormina town with many great shops restaurants and the ancient Greek theatre .. Our room was wonderful with a full view of Mt. Etna above and the Mediterranean below from our balcony ! Very good breakfast every morning with ample selection of foods. (Avoid the...

We are spending a week at the Diadoro and it has exceeded all our expectations. Our room on the top floor was beautifully decorated with excellent antique furniture, it was freshly refurbished and not tired at all. The views from the balcony are amazing looking straight across to Etna. Indeed all the function rooms are classical Italian 100 year old...

The hotel is very well place to discover Taormina town. It also has parking which is great if you are travelling around Sicily in a hire car although driving through Taormina to get here is fun! Breakfast was good, not a huge selection but I think this is common in Sicilay from my experience, therefore this is comparable to other...

We arrived to a warm welcome from a very pleasant receptionist and were accompanied to our room by a smiling porter who helped us with our luggage. We requested extra coat hangers which were brought within minutes, and our bed was quickly changed from two singles to a double. We had booked a superior sea view room and the room...

Apathetic staff. Complementary breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited selection and not much in the way of quality. There are no freshly squeezed juices. They all taste more like punch. The dining room is very understaffed and the maître d' is overwhelmed and so are the only two waitresses that they have. We gave them a try...
