Three of us stayed two nights at the end of September 2011. Conveniently located right across the road from the bus station, but in this town, that's not a bad thing. The hotel rooms are nice and quiet and it was very handy to just cross the street with our luggage! We had lovely seaviews from our rooms. We enjoyed...

Mauro makes this place! The hotel is clean, simple and well located just outside of the major pedestrian walkway of the town. Two of the top three TA restaurants are on the same street. The rooms are on the small side with older furniture but are clean and adequate. We had a room with a balcony which was furnished with...

We only stayed one night here but it exceeded our expectations. This place seems to have been recently renovated. Our room had double-glass windows so you could not hear any noise coming from the street (even though our window gave to the main street) Mauro was indeed very nice and gave us all kind of useful information. This place is...

This charming B&B provided everything we needed for our stay. Located near the cable car station made it easy to reach both the beach and the town centre. The room was very comfortable and airy and the view over the bay was fantastic. Mauro, the owner was delightful and his recommendations for restaurants and beaches were spot on.The small garden...

I would recomment staying at this hotel without giving it the second thought. Mauro and his family really make you feel like home. He is the pinnacle of customer service - helpful advices, booking restaurants, helping with sun burns, making great cappuccinos in the morning. He even treated us with champagne when our freinds stopped by to visit us. The...

The hotel is in a great location just opposite the bus station. Very easy to get to with the bus from Catania. It is a 5 minute walk from the cable car to the beach. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms were very comfotable with good shower, fan and AC. Mauro provided us with a...

If you are after a friendly, clean, and comfortable hotel with reasonable rates, Villa Astoria is perfect. The location is ideal: it's opposite the bus station (from which buses run to and from Catania airport every hour), a two-minute walk to the cable car down to the beach and a five-minute walk to the centre of Taormina. Despite this brilliant...

I went away with about 10 friends to Sicily for the first time for a wedding in the beautiful setting of Taormina. The area is on a cliff overloking 2 fantastic bays. One beach was rocky/pebbly with great snorkling and boat trips. the other was a sandy beach with a longer strip with a few choice bars, restaurants and diving/wind...
