This was our third trip to Hamlet Montefienali, having been in 2005 & 2006, and it is still as beautiful and peaceful as ever. We stayed at Il Fienile di Montefienali, one of the best positioned cottages with views over the forest towards Rosenano on the hill opposite and plenty of outside space. I will also review the villa (Il Rosmarino) in another review Tucked away high up in the hills the Hamlet is a peaceful retreat from the world. Wi-fi is available from inside or close the internet point and phone signals are possible but from the high points of the site, if your a facebook junkie you might get withdrawl symptoms... More

It seemed like it took forever to get there but it was well worth it! No traffic sounds or church bells ringing to keep waking us up. We had our own outdoor patio and barbecue pit which was so nice to eat out under the Tuscan Moon and Stars. We made several trips into Florence and beyond and loved coming... More

We went to Montefienali for a long weekend. It is on a beautiful, serene mountain. It is remote, however, it seemed that the more we made the drive from the train station and sourrounding villages the less time it took to get there. The 'borgo' was very comfortable and catered for our needs admirably - BBQ, private patio area, board games, 4 star bathrooms (x2), furnishings, well appointed kitchen, etc and a great swimming pool/sun-trap. My husband, 4 year old daughter and mother-in-law spent a wonderful, relaxing week staying in Casa Dell'Olio, Borgo Montefienali, over the Easter Holidays of this year. BEL SORRISO, HAMLET MONTEFIENALI, TUSCANY This vacation was a special 40th wedding anniversary trip planned extensively for 2 years. Tuscany was WONDERFUL. Montefienali Hamlet was not as wonderful in many ways. PRO'S House was comfortable and well equipped except for a couple of items. Authentic decor for a rustic Italian experience.
