My husband and I stayed at Locanda for 5 nights. It is so well situated with beautiful views. One has that "out in the country feeling" while being 5 minutes away from the town and some wonderful historic and scenic sites. Sonia and Massimo are attentive and kind hosts with excellent knowledge of the area. As an added bonus, they...

We had a great stay at this B&B in Tuscany. It's located on the top of a hill and when having breakfast the view takes your breath away. Sonia and Massimo gave us a warm welcome and a lot of info on what to do and eat nearby. It was the only stay where I really felt totally relaxed. It's...

Sonia and Massimo made us feel very welcome and the breakfasts were incredible - the best croissants, cake and yoghurt we've ever tasted, all enjoyed alongside incredible views to Cortona and the valley below. Sonia and Massimo also helped us with directions to walk to Cortona from the B&B - a great day out, though we were glad of the...

This is an amazing location, high up in the hills looking across to the town of Cortona. Massimo and Sonia who run the B & B gave us a very warm welcome, even carrying our cases from the car. The drive up to the B & B is interesting and thankfully the owners' comprehensive instructions were very helpful. Our hire...

We loved our three nights here. I got over my initial disappointment at not having the church room as soon as I walked into our room at the top of the stone stairs. It was absolutely perfect! Exactly how you'd picture a romantic Tuscan villa. We even had dinner sitting at the top of our stairs one evening looking out...

Perched high on the hill above Cortona this is a superb antidote to the tourist bustle of Tuscany. On the approach, climbing high above the plain, winding through olive groves, you feel you are heading well off the beaten track. Reaching your destination you are greeted with views back across to Cortona and the jaw dropping spectacular 180 degree panorama...

We stayed for 2 nights in early May en route from the Amalfi Coast back home to Scotland. We had chosen La Locanda as it was within striking distance of the motorway and near the must-visit town of Cortona. And how pleased were we that we chose this as a stopover. Massimo and Sonja are genuinely warm and welcoming hosts...

In one word Wauw!!!! The environment is stunning and the view is even more stunning and breathless. Sonia and Massimo are really helpful, caring and sweet. Nothing is to much. I'm allergic for gluten and lactose. So Massimo baked me special bread and banana pancakes. It's was lovely and it made my day! The stay in the old church was...

This renovated church should be a must have destination for any adventurous travelers in the region. Their accommodations are limited to just three rooms, but they are well appointed and comfortable. The views are mesmerizing and you will be tempted to spend much time just taking the scenery. Do it. Their grounds are well cared for and for the reasonably...

We recently spent 10 wonderful days in that exceptional location with exceptional hospitality! If you don't mind to stay in a calm and a little bit remote location up in the tuscany hills close to Cortona (5 minutes by car), then this is the perfect place for you to go. Overlooking a wide part of the Tuscany plane with sight...
