I read somewhere that if Apple designed an iRoom, it would look like this and I couldn't agree more! Modern, minimalist furnishings with design flourishes are what await you at Floroom. While the rooms are small, they make the most of the available space and even with our 2 suitcases and 2 small carry-on bags, we were still able to...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend in September. This hotel is perfect for a young couple - I loved the style of the rooms and the communal area upstairs. The location is also fantastic, easy walking distance to all the famous sights but tucked away on the Southern side of the Arno close to all the best...

Very clean and stylish boutique hotel. Lovely bathroom with sliding door. Loved the upstairs kitchen and living room, a communal area where you can relax and make yourself a drink. Comfortable bed, good service with recommendations of the area. Excellent central location with good restaurants nearby. The manager can also book restaurants and gallery tickets so you can avoid the...

The hotel has just 5 rooms over a floor of a residential building and is relatively new. The set up it was perfect for our purposes - the location was excellent, the rooms modern and although small they were well equipped. Despite it's central location it was nice and quiet in the room at night. The breakfast was good, in...

We loved the location for this small place - anonymously tucked off a tiny side street in the Oltrarno, with a feeling of being in a much more "local" part of the city than in the centre. The whole place is really small, which didn't make it feel terribly private, especially when you knew the concierge was sat at a...

My husband and I stayed here Oct 13-16, both of really liked this B&B! Great location and easy walking to all of the major sites! The staff here was great, made dinner reservations every night for us and reservations to the Uffizi and Accademia for us before we came. Every e-mail I sent the owner before hand was always answered...

Floroom has 4 rooms on the top floor of a Florence townhouse (no lift). The interior is modern and because space is at a premium, everything is cleverly designed to make maximum use of it. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are small but pefectly adequate. They are definitely only good for probably a maximum of 2-3 nights -...

We stayed here on our honeymoon. I liked the area- not as touristy, but an easy walk to everything. The room was small but adequate, without a closet but with a rod to hang your clothes on if you bothered to unpack. Bathroom small, but adequate. Good value for money. Good breakfast. Try the Quatro Leoni restuarant around the corner!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2009. The good: wireless internet, modern rooms, A/C worked well, and we really enjoyed the Oltrarno area. Needs improvement: service was lacking, and the windows need some serious soundproofing (the square outside is loud from 7am to midnight). The rooms are tiny, so there is not much space for...

I wasn't sure what to expect from Florence and was a little overwhelmed trying to find a place to stay. We found Floroom on a "design hotel" website and booked it based on the photos, not knowing exactly what to expect. Floroom is a four-room bed and breakfast. The design is beautiful—the photos they show are accurate. Very modern, comfortable...

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.

“I would recommend this for couples only. They make very good use of the space (Europe is known for smaller rooms), but that said the bathroom is frosted glass and intimate. It may prove uncomfortable for non-couples.”

“Make sure your bedroom window doesn't face onto the below piazza as it may get noisy. We did not have this issue as our bathroom window looked over the piazza and we were not disturbed when we wanted to sleep.”

“This is a couples B&B. Its a no-no for families! If I am not mistaken there are a total of 4 rooms available. All are on the lower floor. Upstairs you can find a nice lounge which doubles as breakfast space. Keep in mind that there is no elevator so you have to take your stuff 3 floors by stairs. Of course it is not suitable for people in wheelchairs.”
