First and most importantly-do NOT avoid this hotel because of those few bad reviews! They are 99% B.S.! Our stay/experience was as follows—- Upon arrival we were professionally greeted by Letizia who checked us in rapidly and then spent quite a bit of time showing us the area map and making suggestions for things to do in the area. The immaculately clean glass elevator zipped us up to our room on the 3rd floor. Wow! The room was a sufficient size. Bathroom beautifully updated and offered the usual amenities one would expect. The shower was nice, great water pressure and the water was hot. The towel warmer was fantastic. Bed firm and comfortable. There was one soft and one firmer pillow. There’s an espresso maker, pods, cups and spoons. The complimentary Frig held a coke, a peach nectar, one regular and one fizzy water, and 2 bags of snacks—all of which are replenished daily along with the coffee pods. The cleaning staff were quick and efficient EVERY DAY. Up on the 5th floor was a reading/seating area adjacent to the breakfast room. There’s a coffee machine in there available 24/7. The breakfasts were PHENOMENAL! A large spread of way too much to list. They even offer to make you eggs and pancakes. The smell of the freshly baked croissants is wonderful. There’s an outside enclose patio with heaters if temperatures drop. Lights up at nighttime. Seats about 20 people. I spent plenty of time out there enjoying the complimentary coffee machine and water. As for the front desk staff—Letizia, Eva, Jessica, Francesca and Cristella from start to finish we’re VERY professional, courteous, helpful and ALWAYS available for anything we needed. These ladies were extremely conscientious and made our stay the most enjoyable one in Italy thus far. That said—we are planning another 2 week trip next year in Florence, at THIS hotel for the entire time! I’ve probably left a few things out but in conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for all the reasons above. You will NOT be disappointed!…
Great boutique hotel close to all of the major sites. The front desk staff were very helpful in booking reservations, making recommendations, and assisting with parking my rental car. Good value for the price and amenities.
This is a charming hotel with a great location. our room was very comfortable with a nice balcony. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We had a delightful stay.
Our stay at Milu made our Florence visit even better. The room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. But the highlight was the staff. They greeted us with smiles and sent us to the best restaurants in Florence .
Our room was very clean and was of good size. The location couldn't be better. Even though it faced a busy street the room was quiet. The staff is excellent. They responded to every need. the breakfast was excellent. The hotel price was reasonable. My only complaint is that there needs to be a handicap bar in the shower or safety strips on its floor. The floor of the shower can get slick and there is nothing to grab. If I ever get to come to Florence I will stay here again
A real jewel in the heart of Florence Where you can breathe art in every area of the hotel on the fifth floor a pleasant relaxation area where you can enjoy a cappuccino and read in total tranquility And in the morning find an excellent breakfast to enjoy on the hotel terrace for a pleasant start to the day Very friendly and helpful staff and always ready to give an answer to your needs Very welcome the possibility to arrive in front of the hotel with your own car thanks to the car pickup and parking service
The hotel location is the best! Only a short walking distance from all the hot spots -- Duomo, Accademia, Uffizi, the train station, and even to venture across the river. Rooms are great and breakfast is good. I didn't find out until I checked out but apparently there is bacon at breakfast if you ask for it! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Letizia.
Hotel Milu was a perfect location for our 3 day stay in Florence. We were centrally located and found everything easily accessible. The hotel was beautiful with lots of art throughout. All of the staff I encountered were kind and helpful. We will stay here again when visiting Florence!
Great hotel, great location, wonderful friendly staff. This hotel is perfectly situated to explore florence, being right in the centre. It is almost directly opposite the original house of Gucci store and is surrounded by boutiques it is the ultimate boutique hotel on a road like Londons Bond Street. The rooms are well appointed and the interior has interesting modern art on the walls and in the rooms. Breakfast is adequate and served on the roof.
Great staff here. Shout out to Eva and Laura at the front desk. Super friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location with all sites within easy walking distance. I recommend getting a room with a balcony. We had room 501 which was lovely. We could sip wine on the balcony in the late afternoon and listen to people singing opera in the street. Breakfast was outstanding with eggs and accessories made to order along with delicious pastries, fruit, yogurt and so much more on the rooftop. You didn't need to eat again for hours. It doesn't have a lot of rooms so it felt warm and welcoming, instead of cold and impersonal. We would definitely stay here again.
