Lovely hostel. Greeting was so friendly and offer maps and lots of advice . Breakfast was included which was ok. Rooms cleaned daily and beds made . Not normally a hostel visitor but I would say this was better than some of the cheaper hotel chains in the UK. We had towels too. Good location , near station and lots of restaurants and supermarkets around . Kitchen and fridges able to be used .
I think this place is highly recommended: it's very good location because is close to the station and is right in the center of Florence you can walk around the city from the hostel. The bathroom is clean, the beds are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is included and for a hostel it was more than good. In the second floor the rooms have windows so you can have fresh air and not only AC. Ah! There's a fridge in the second floor which is very helpful. The staff is the best, very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved Gabrielle. If I'm back in Firenze for sure I'll stay here again.
Look over the past years of travel I have stayed in many hotels and this one is pretty good. It ain’t the best but it’s good. Showers are clean and they do have breakfast. The only downside for me was that my room was facing the street and on the opening night of the World Cup and the having the moto gp in Florence tomorrow meant there’s a lot of loud people out n about. Besides that it’s a perfectly good hostel to stay in.
The location is great for walking. Only 15 mins from the main florence attractions and lots of food places nearby with a big market just around the corner. The staff were lovely especially Marie and Gabrielle. Everything was very clean (they kick you out from 11-2 each day to ensure that). The breakfast was classic Italian with only sweet things (not really for me) i.e sweet croissants, cookies and cakes. You can ask for toast and they'll give you marmalade, nutella or honey to put on it so it's not too bad. They also make you a coffee if you want one and they have juice too. You can't really cook your own meals there though since there is no oven or stovetop which made our stay rather expensive. There is a mircowave though if you're into that. It cost us $28 euro per night which is the most expensive so far for our trip. They don't want you to wash your clothes in the sink because they offer a laundry service but this will set you back 10 euro. Overall it was a good atmosphere and a nice, clean place to stay in a good location but if I were to return to Florence I would look for somewhere with better amenities.…
If you're looking for a fairly budget hostel right in the centre with all the amenities, then you can't go wrong here. It's a 5-minute walk from all the important landmarks in Florence, and there are a lot of cheap and authentic places to eat/drink in the streets surrounding the hostel. Our shared dorm room had a clean ensuite with soap, etc., there were lockers in the dorm, the beds were comfy and we were given towels for free. I had problems connecting to the Wifi but I didn't mind as we spent most of our time outside anyways. There was a free breakfast with croissants, coffee and everyone there was very friendly and upbeat (the guy at reception was super nice!) My only complaint was that the plug-in near my bed didn't work so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom (which wasn't that big of a deal really). We would definitely stay again if we ever returned to Florence, highly recommended!…
I been here for a week the guy who works there Gabrielle is so helpful for the city of Florence the rooms are bigger and so clean the Wi-Fi area is to good this place have a nice balcony with a sits out you can get relaxed
Perfect for 1 night. Really nice staff. Nice free breakfast if you're looking for something simple (coffee tea bread marmelade...). Simple room. Bathroom is really clean !! Too bad for the paiement : you have too pay cash and they don't have the change... Not an easy place to find in the street. Nice hostel anyway !
Great location, very close to the train station. The bedroom was nice and clean, and you can get a private one (with shared bathroom) for cheap. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended!
I had such a good experience in this hostel. Upon arrival was met with a friendly face to check in, this was speedy and efficient. We were shown to our 4 bed room and this was a decent size and the bunk beds were comfy. The rooms had wifi (which was slow at times) and individual lockers. There were 2 bathrooms on our floor and they were always very clean. The kitchen area and common area were also very clean and it was nice having an outside courtyard space. The kitchen didn't have a stove but it does have a microwave if needed. The breakfast was just toast but the staff serving it were very friendly and made a great cappacino! There was a lock out from 11-2 for cleaning but this wasn't a problem as we were out exploring the city everyday. The location is also great, very close to the main town. Overall I would recommend this hostel. I met some very lovely people and everywhere was very clean. …
I stayed about a week at Emerald Fields and found it perfect for my needs as a solo traveler. The bathrooms are clean, the beds and linens are comfortable, the rooms are tidy, everything including showers work well, there's hand soap in the bathroom and the included breakfast of tea/juice, jam, bread and cereal with milk is decent. The hostel is situated on a quiet side street just off a main drag, which I found perfect for both convenience and peaceful sleeping at night. You'll be super close to the Mercato Centrale, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and a laundromat nearby, so the location is pretty much perfect. The receptionists were all really nice and went out of their way to accommodate guests, so expect lovely hospitality here that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. The other guests I encountered were easygoing, mostly from Anglophone countries, and generally in their 20s. Everyone was respectful and easy to talk to. This is a peaceful hostel fit for sleeping well at night and meeting other kind folk on their travels. I confidently recommend it to families, adults, and low-profile couples or solo travelers who prioritize a comfortable place to shower and sleep at night with friendly staff and laidback housemates. I have nothing really negative to add and enjoyed my stay in Florence thanks to Emerald Fields.…
