The room is very comfortable and Silvia is a great host who gives helpful directions and restaurant recommendations. The location is central to all the sights in Florence. It’s an easy walk from the central train station, the cathedral, and the Academy.

We had a great 4-day stay in Florence at BBH's Orange Room. We didn't get to meet Silvia but were warmly welcomed by Claudia who shared with us the top places to go in Florence. Our room was clean and as described and very close...More
I had the yellow room to myself. It's at a convenient location, surrounded by good restaurants. The room is cool with fan already. Silvia, the host is very nice and flexible, so does her assistant. I had a great stay. Will visit next time also.
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
