The BBH is lovely. Silvia is extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and made us feel very cozy and the bathroom was clean. We searched thoroughly and couldn't find a better place to stay in Florence for the buck that we spent. The only think which we noticed is that the rooms can get very hot although...

There was something just so special about this cute little hostel with it ever so small rooms and wonderful little art works on the walls. When i think back to my trip this place always just keeps popping back into my mind. My room was small, but lovely. If you are in florence and on a medium budget then at...

I stayed here in may 2012 for work. I can easily reccomend it since it was a very nice room, in the centre of Florence, two minutes by feet from Santa maria Novella station and two minutes by feet from Arno river. Good design and good value for money. Silvia, the owner, is so kind and helpfu

We stayed in the Blue room for 3 nights. Silvia, the owner, was very nice and helpful (having our bags stay there for a few hours after check out was no problem and she gave us some helpful tips about the city), I liked the quirky interior of the room and the artsy elements in the hallways. The Bed &...

I stayed here for about a week in the end of September. Maria was very pleasant, gave me a map and useful information about nearest shops and places to have a meal. My room was Yellow, not big, but very comfortable, well appointed, with TV, hairdrier. Room had private bathroom, quite big and clean. It's true, that space to take...

The owner was very friendly when we arrived but apart from the relative good location and the reasonable sized room, I have nothing positive to say. The room was dark, there was a strange smell coming from the toilet when we arrived, the floor felt dirty and we could actually see fuzzy dust under the bed and . You'll need...

We had a great stay here in October. The location is excellent, walking distance everywhere. The rooms are large and cosy. The value is tremendous for the area. Nearby restaurants are also great, although even better when passing the bridges. Breakfast is not included but can be found in nearby snack bars or mini markets.

The rooms at BBH are very nice and comfy. The owner helped me by providing a fan and cooler, since it's was so hot. There's barely any noise since the street isn't so busy. For the price and location (a 5 min walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station), there couldn't be a better place. There's not breakfast included, but...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.

The BBH offers rooms with private bathroomWe opened in 2005 and from the beginning we tried to make an alternative to the traditional Tuscan B & BThe furnishings are simple but colorful and young people with special attention to detail that can offer you comfort and relaxationWe do not have the adequate space to offer a good breakfast so we prefer to leave you free to choose from the excellent bakeries in the area then practicing room-only overnightEach room has a TV, CD player, incense, but also WI-FI and a private bathroomGuests have total privacy and independence in fact at the time of your arrival will receive the keys, together with the map of the city, in order to be totally free in the schedules. We are in the heart of the historic center on foot and only walk you can reach all the famous sites, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Signoria, the markets of San Lorenzo, the Arno river and so on...From the Santa Maria Novella there you can easily reach in few minutes walk. Florence is considered a treasure of art and architecture through an unique cultural heritage. The downtown is considered a real air museum consisting in historic buildings, monuments, palaces, churches, museums that evoke the charm and memories of the past. For those who stay at B & B House will be easy to reach in a few minutes walk Piazza della Signoria, where you can admire the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia dei Lanzi that holds wonderful masterpieces of classical sculpture.
