Great place to stay while you explore Florence (and area), it's great to come "home" every night. Bruno is super friendly and a very kind host. Very helpful to attend to your needs. The B&B is located very conveniently in the centre of Florence, within 15 mins of easy walk from the main train station (Florence SMN). There's a grocery...

Bruno makes you feel as this is your home. Wonderful host & with his wealth of local knowledge we felt as though we were living as Florentines. The position is amazing. Can't wait to return next year.

My husband and I went to visit Florence and Bruno at Badia Fiorentina this april. We stayed there for 3 days and it was one of our best experiences in Italy. Badia is a bed and breakfast where you feel at home, almost like af big appartment with about 6 rooms. Bruno, the host, can guide you to all the...

We stayed at the Badia Fiorentina for three nights over the Easter weekend. It is in a fantastic location down one of the narrow streets between the Duomo and the river. Bruno was a charming, thoughtful and kind host and the hotel was perfect for us. We were in one of the larger rooms with one double and two single...

I stayed in Badia Fiorentina for five days. I can only echo what other reviewers have said about Bruno in that he was an excellent Tuscan host. Breakfast in the mornings was an enjoyable communal event with something different each day emerging from Bruno's oven. Requests for help getting around Florence were always answered and he had a host of...

We booked this B&B and had everything paid for yet when we arrived we had to hunt down the host so we could travel across town to our room. We had nice accommodations however they wanted to bill us a second time ( even though previously paid for ) and since we had to put it on a different credit...

We stayed in the Badia Fiorentina B & B for 4 days in Florence and were very glad we chose it. Bruno was a wonderful host, friendly and accommodating. We were delayed returning our rental car and were going to be quite late for our prearranged check in time. He was there to meet us and was very gracious about...

We had the honour of staying at Badia Fiorentina in September 2014 for 3 nights. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and it was nice to have wifi too. Great location Central to all the tourist things to do and in the mornings listening to the church bells ringing. The best thing about Badia was Bruno. Very welcoming and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
