Good hotel approx 5 10 mins walk from the firenze railway station (florence is called so). The property is good and so are the rooms. Be careful while booking as they have a few rooms with an external bathroom. I booked via booking.com and ended...More
I definitely recommend Hotel dei Macchiaioli! You cannot beat the location; you are close to everything yet the hotel still manages to be very quiet. Great staff, large room, good breakfast; just an excellent place to stay while in Florence!

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
