A beautiful historic building tastefully renovated and furnished does not automatically make a great hotel. The place appears to be run by junior staff with a limited understanding of the hospitality business. With so much competition in this city service needs to be impeccable and the breakfast more than just a few packets and jars from the supermarkets opened. We...

This was an excellent choice of a 4 star hotel with good location in a studentish part of centre of Florence. Near enough to everything. Rooms are all different so check them out first - go far junior suite if you can

The J and J hotel is is a real charming place. Central but in a calm area , chic and discreet. Rooms are very conforable and very well decorated and furnished. The staff is nice and helpful. Perfect for a romantic escape or to stay in an historic place but away from touristic crowd.

10 min walk to the Duomo in a calm area. Spacious and well decorated rooms. It's located in the central part of Florence but you can come with your car - the hotel have an arrangement with the municipality.

The Hotel J and J is a terrific gem. About 10 minute walk to the Duomo it is close enough to the sights but away from all the crowds, etc. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms very spacious! And By Florence standards, a very good deal for what you get. No elevator.

Overall, It was a pleasant boutique hotel (only 21 rooms) with a convenient location. The rooms are generally comfortable, and maintains the historic feel. I feel it's worth the price. A few minor issues... 1. Food is not allowed in the room. Huge inconvenience when you are traveling alone, and you decide to bring back a pizza to enjoy while...

Arrived at hotel to join a party of friends who'd travelled from the UK to find the hotel had shunted me into another hotel along the street and round the corner, obviously having seen mine was a single booking so it wouldn't have mattered to them where I stayed. No effort was made to contact me beforehand, no effort was...

You will climb stairs but staff will assist with luggage. Very conveniently located to area attractions. Breakfast room is the highlight. An historic location which is well-kept, but beware that the bathroom shower never dries out. The amenities outweigh this distraction.

Very nice und spacious room in a historic house close to the centre of Firenze, service could be more ambiguous, breakfast was okay but not really 4* level, but overall a good choice for a faire price.
