This was a fabulous hotel with exquisite facilities, warm and attentive staff who were eager to help us. The restaurant was outstanding with excellent cuisine and service. The hotel is very beautiful and located in a prime area of Florence, within walking distance to many attractions, monuments, Ponta Vecchio bridge and shopping districts. After we checked out and went to the airport, the gentleman at the concierge notified us that our son had forgotten a personal item. He actually took a taxi to the airport and brought the item to us! That is above and beyond the expectation of any hotel, and we couldn’t be more appreciative! Grazie!
My sister and I had a wonderful trip to Italy starting in Milan, driving thru Tuscany, Il Borro and final stop Florence. Even though Florence was too crowded for our taste, Hotel Lungarno was a wonderful reprieve from the crowds. The property is on a great location, the spaghetti pomodoro at the restaurant was amazing and the staff was wonderful! 2 wonderful cuban ladies took care of our room (Ivonne was one of the names i remember), they were fabulous! Everyone was great. This was my 2nd stay at the hotel, first one was almost 20yrs ago and it is still wonderful. Beautiful hotel, beautiful humans!! Highly recommend.
Always a 5 star experience. From the first instance of check in through out the stay the staff goes above and beyond to make the stay unique. Whether it is your first time visiting or you are returning to Florence, the staff goes out of their way to find unique experiences.
Beautiful, small hotel located right on the Arno near the Ponte Vecchio. Close to everything, including my favorite restaurants. Rooms are not huge, but they’re done to a high standard and the lobby and main areas give one the feel of being aboard a lovely cruise ship. Lunch overlooking the river was excellent. I have stayed a couple of times now and will definitely book again on my next trip. Highly recommended.
The personnel at the bar and at breakfast is terrific. I cannot say the same for the management that checked us in. The gentleman was arrogant and pretentious. Our room does not meet the standards at hotels at this price range. There is mold in the shower and clearly the deferred maintenance shows. We could smell cigarette smoke as well as noise in adjoining rooms. The hotel was inflexible about changing rooms. They claimed to be booked until November 2023. The public rooms are well kept.
Hotel Lungarno made our stay in Florence outstanding. The location is centrally located making it ideal to walk to all restaurants, shopping, and site seeing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was magnificent overlooking the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast was perfection. I would definitely stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Lungarno. Everyone we interacted with was exceptionally gracious and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was awesome so many choices and every single thing was delicious. Highly recommended.
We were traveling with another couple and this is our second time to stay at Hotel Lungarno. The staff welcomed us upon arrival and each time we entered the hotel after that. We were upgraded to excellent rooms. The one rainy morning we were there, we were offered umbrellas as we exited the hotel. The bar staff was outstanding, remembered our drink orders from the previous night and refreshed us as needed. The decor of the bar area is so beautiful and luxurious, you may want to stay there and enjoy the view of the Arno river and the Ponte Vecchio.
Stylish, great options at the bar, great views overlooking the river - great interior design - we loved it for a few drinks and some rest. Not inexpensive but worth it. Great lobby, free candies! Very quiet feeling in a very chaotic and touristy area.
I had a mixed experience here. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels before and this was one that made me feel not super welcomed. Younger Asian 30’s couple and it was majority of the men at the reception at this hotel that didn’t give us a time of day and felt like we didn’t belong there. The door mens not once tried to open the door for us. Really a shame I was looking forward to this experience the most from my trip to Firenze / Italy
