The air conditioner does not work properly in the middle of the summer!. We slept with a temperature of 26 degrees in the room and hotel manager tells us that it is normal and nothing can be done about it. Check-in process is very complicated if you arrive after 7pm. There is nobody at the hotel that can help before 9.30-10am. Quality of customer service is terrible. There are MANY other MUCH BETTER options at this price point in Florence. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Finding Corte Guelfa was one of the highlights of our four night stay in Firenze. The room was modern, beautiful, and very comfortable for two people. All rooms are accessed via a classy ground floor courtyard, but there wasn’t much noise to be heard through the soundproof floor to ceiling windows. We had zero safety concerns being on the ground floor since there were two separate security doors to get through before accessing the courtyard. Basic needs were all met here: Comfy bed, hot shower, two mini fridges, lockbox, etc… The intimate lobby was hosted by Mirko and Kira, and they were both extremely warm and welcoming (Mirko even reached out a few days in advance to see if we had any special requests ahead of our arrival). There’s a nice little bar as well where you can chill out with Mirko, have a glass of wine and decompress after a day of travel to Firenze, or to enjoy the daily breakfast option with Kira in the morning. We were very happy with our stay at Corte Guelfa, and we’ll seek out this property on our next trip to Firenze.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The location is central to all sightseeing and restaurants and the hotel itself is very modern, clean, and lovely. The rooms are clean and beautiful and they give you a cell phone to bring with you through the city! The staff is so kind and accommodating, not to mention the breakfast service! Each morning you are personal served with a personalized GENEROUS breakfast that they make for you upon sitting down. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Absolutely recommend!

I was with my toddler, and everything was perfect. From the lovely helpful staff, the excellent breakfast, the spacious and elegant room, to the central location from which we could visit almost everything on foot

Everything was good about this hotel. It was seriously one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had so far. First of all the room itself. After walking through a beautiful corridor, you will arrive in an amazing styled room with a very nice interior, a convenient small kitchen and a very nice bathroom with relaxing rain shower and very good beds and pillows. The communication with the manager was absolutely perfect. Because we could not arrive while the reception was still open, we got the best instructions through WhatsApp. We could always ask and reach the manager by sending a message. The breakfast was delicious. We had a choice between Sweet and Salty and switched a few times for variety but both options were great. The girl that hosts the breakfast was super friendly and quick and for the last day, when we had to leave / check-out before the kitchen was open she made sure we had breakfast in our own kitchen. In short: Beautiful hotel and great care and customer service for a good price. I couldn’t wish for anything more.

We had to extend our stay in Florence and had to move to another hotel. That’s how we discovered Corte Guelfa! We paid €75/night, including breakfast and city tax. We couldn’t find any customer photos in the reviews and had second thoughts before getting there :). They only started renting since August 2019, hence the lack of reviews. And boy what a pleasant surprise this property was!!! 🙂 It was more of an apartment than a room, we have not used the upstairs’ room but we will next time around when we’ll take the kids with us. Cool, cool place, definitely a 5 star! 👌

A hidden gem of a new boutique hotel near the Mercado Centrale. Envision a riad in Morocco with a high-walled maze of 10 rooms on the ground level surrounding an open-sky walkway complete with a beautifully-lit burbling water fountain. Imagine the Moroccan style carried over to the interior of the rooms with high ceilings and the insulation of thick adobe walls. Now add in at your fingertips the modern conveniences of everything from an electric skylight over the bed to Netflix on remote control, along with quiet, efficient AC and a well-stocked mini-bar at very reasonable prices. Wake up in the morning to enjoy a very good breakfast buffet included in the price of your room. And it must be said Casey, Daria and the rest of the staff are excellent & very personable. Frankly, this place is so nice that I want to promote it to support their success, and at the same time, hoping room availability doesn’t evaporate with growing demand. Thankfully, the owners have two other separate establishments in Florence to enjoy!
