This place is in a great spot in the middle of Florence, we rented a 4 bed 2 connected rooms with a private bathroom. The rooms and the bathroom were very spacious, we had a queen size bed and 3 small beds. Giussepe was really nice and friendly, had breakfast ready for us in the morning, we only stayed one... More

My boyfriend and I had a good time here. We were a little nervous at first thinking it was going to be a dive, but it was actually really good. We stayed in a private room with own bathroom. The bed was really comfy, the shower was amazing! It really felt like a hotel not a hostel. Breakfast was good... More

I loved this place!!! I was in a 4 bed dorm with single beds no bunks and the room included a fridge, tv, air con, ensuite and wifi! Rooms were cleaned daily, breakfast included and spot on for location. Staff here were lovely even though Giuseppe doesn't know a lot of English he always acknowledges you when you go in... More

I had a very pleasant experience staying here. It's small, rustic and simple but as a solo traveller looking for a relaxing stay it was just what I was looking for. The bedroom was clean and spacious and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was fine - cereal, toast, yoghurt, the usual. Only complaint was a dodgy smelling shower... More

We were welcomed warmly into this B&B-style place, where the employee helped us out by annotating a map and showing us around the room. Room is very clean, great shower, nice soft towels and even some soap/shower gel. Decent location, 10/15 minute walk to center, and very close to train station.

The place is situated in the very heart of Florence,5 minutes walk from San Lorenzo square and the Duomo. Equally easy to reach from the train station. We had a nice room with a big bed and a private bathroom, the shared lounge and kitchen. All very tasteful and clean. The room service worked perfectly well and the breakfast offered... More

I really felt at home and at ease at this hotel. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely amazing! We got cereal, croissants, juice, yogurt, toast, Nutella, jam, coffee and tea! The receptionist was beyond lovely and so helpful when we arrives 4 hours early. The location was also great, easy to walk everywhere and quite close to the train station. The... More

We stayed in the double room with private bathroom. After a little difficulty finding the place, we were greeted by Giuseppe who welcomed us into his home. Our room was large and clean, wifi was available in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and served in the dining room. Location was wonderful, within walking distance from everything that we wanted to... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the location pretty ideal. Breakfast was your basic hostel fare but the fruit was a bonus. We booked an ensuite private room which was basic but did the job. Smell of damp and very dark but cleaned daily. Useful shared kitchen and a courtyard that could be great if it wasn't used... More

I booked a "single room" in this hostel on the phone but when I arrived there that evening there was an extra bed pushed into my single room as they had accommodated another traveller at last minute to make extra money (without asking me). They did not apologize but they reduced my room rate somewhat..it turned out ok the first... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
