Our family of 5 (including a baby) stayed there one night since we had an early flight to catch at Florence airport. We booked 2 rooms, and when we got there after a 3 hour drive from Rome, there was no parking available. The main two reasons we booked this hotel was because it offered free parking and it was near the airport. My husband had to park the car near the bushes by the entrance, not a parking space. It is misleading that the hotel advertises that they offer parking when they have limited parking spaces. The rooms are sparkling clean, good bedding and comfortable beds, bathroom was also very clean. We suggest to confirm ahead parking availability especially when traveling with kids after a long drive.

We arrived late evening and chose this hotel close to the airport as the second day we intended to rent a car in the airport neighborhood. After we paid for the room, the reception guy invited us to go to our room at the 5th floor by stairs as both elevators were not working. I asked for a room at a lower level, as we are over 65 with mobility problems, but the receptionist said he has no other room and when I insisted, he immediately wanted to cancel our reservation and return us the money already paid. Sunday night @ 22:30, raining... Congratulations Best Western for such a great receptionist! I said that I am not going to cancel the reservation in the middle of the night, but I will complain to Booking.com and then I asked for support with luggage; the receptionist spoke to someone who transported our luggage to the room.

The second day both elevators were still out of order.

The room was large and clean, the beds were comfortable, the internet was working well. The breakfast was delicious, varied with lots of choices and lots of food; excellent coffee, excellent service! We loved this hotel! The only minus was the reception guy during the night when we arrived, as he almost pushed us to cancel our reservation instead of trying to solve our problem.

Best Western Plus CHC Florence is located quite far from Florence’s city centre. However, this is no problem taking into account one could take a long stroll to the city centre or easily purchase tickets (in cash) at the reception. So although the location is not optimal, there are many choices to get to the centre. The complimentary breakfast (since I am a BW Diamond Select member) was rather good with a diverse choice of foods. The hotel itself seemed rather outdated and the halls are not very soundproof. Yet, the quality of the stay —in relation to price— was very satisfactory.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to time-travel back to the 1970s, this hotel is your golden ticket!

First off, let’s talk switches – they’re not just vintage, they’re practically ancient. Paired with moldy walls, this place gives you a headache faster than the questionable odor in the bathroom. Speaking of smells, the room itself has a distinct aroma that’s sure to keep you alert (and nauseous). The green pillow on the bed adds a nice touch – if you’re into random, smelly décor, that is.

Now, about the ambiance – the dim lights might set a romantic mood if you’re into horror films. And if you’re into mystery, the hallways reek of the unknown (literally), while the receptionists could teach a masterclass in bad attitudes and subliminal racism.

If you’re into puzzles, you’ll love figuring out how to open your door, but if you’re into relaxation, the noisy, half-functional AC will be your worst enemy. The TV is a relic, the fridge doesn’t work, and the WiFi is slower than dial-up. Plus, good luck fitting anything bigger than a Vespa in the parking lot!

Daily cleaning is available, but don’t get too excited – there’s no side table to clutter with your belongings, and the dusty curtains might make you question their definition of “clean.” On the bright side, there are four beds in one room! Perfect if you like living in a shoebox.

The area is conveniently near a tram station, which is great because you’ll want to escape as often as possible. The kettle, by the way, never stops boiling – just like the nightmares you’ll have about the interior design. And at least there’s hot water in the morning, which is a rare blessing in this establishment.

Oh, and did I mention they have the audacity to claim this place is four stars? With rates that could fund your next luxury vacation, you might start wondering if those stars are for the number of migraines you’ll have by checkout.

And, a final pro tip: avoid licking the walls – the carcinogenic chemicals might just be the last straw.

Good luck with your stay – you’ll need it!

If you want a hotel with a reasonable price and you're only looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing else, then you might consider this option.
The closest tram station is within walking distance, which you can use to go to the center of Florence.
The breakfast at the hotel is average.
Low marks for noise isolation between rooms and between the room and the corridor - you can hear a lot from other rooms and absolutely everything from the corridor.
I'm rating this a 4 because of the low price per night compared to other options in Florence, otherwise it would be lower.

This hotel is away from the busy Florence town center but is only 5 min from T2 tram station which takes about 15 min to the historic Duomo area. Parking at the hotel is limited but a public parking lot is close by. Very friendly and helpful staff

We had a 4AM departure from FLR so were looking for a nice property very near the airport. This one perfectly fit the bill. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless, beds and pillows were comfortable and in-room amenities were more than adequate. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend the night and get a good rest before a long day of travel ahead. THANK YOU AGAIN to the wonderful staff!

We enjoyed our stay at the CHC Florence. The bed was comfortable and the room was facing the back of the building which was quiet. The location is walking distance from a tram that takes you to the Unita stop close to the center of Florence. The breakfast was very good.
I had dinner in the restaurant after a long day of sightseeing and my partner wanted to sleep. It was so convenient and the crab pasta was good. We would stay there again.

Although the hotel was further from the city centre that we would have wished, we had no regrets about it. Our room was a little on the small side but spotless and with all the amenities one expects these days. Most importantly, the staff were helpful and friendly, thus making our stay enjoyable. Negative side - would like more information in the room brochure to aid overseas visitors who do not know how the public transport system works. We found out via a very expensive fine when we hadn't "validated" our tram ticket. In the UK one buys a ticket for public transport and that's it. A simple explanation in the room brochure would save other visitors from such a costly mistake.

Stayed 1 night as early flight. Easy to find came from Florence city on tram and then 9 mins walk, only cost E1.70 on tram . Reception staff very welcoming helpful and room available before checkin time. Nice small reception area, with coffee. Good free WIFI. Supermarket and a few restaurants walking distance. Ate in hotel restaurant opens at 7pm, dinner was ok. Given Big breakfast box as early departure had croissant, yogart, biscuits, jams, fruit, water. Bedroom on 3rd floor with lift. Bedroom spacious and very clean and modern, one comfortable clean double bed and single bed. Small desk and 2 chairs, wardrobe safe, tv, coffee and sweets. Nice little touch. Bathroom  very clean with toiletries, toilet, bidet and shower in bath.
Good free wifi. Hotel phoned early taxi for airport came in 3 mins took 5 mins cost E25
Hotel is in a wide street. Would recommend for airport stay and would stay again, if early flight as location close.
