A superb place to stay. Very central and staff very friendly and helpful. Bar staff exceptionally friendly and very ready to give information and offer advice. Buffet breakfast was very good with a good choice of fruit, cereals cold meats, cheeses etc. If we visit Florence again the Pierre will be our first choice

This is the second time have stayed in this hotel the first time was in April 2010, when we had a prolonged stay due to the volcano, this time I travelled with both my teenage daughter and my mother, we were given adjoining rooms, one very spacious the other slightly more compact and bijou but between the two had more...

Hotel Pierre had the best service and staff possible. The manager Fabrizio Pacciani took personal care of every request we had made, making sure our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends! When manager heard that we are from California, Bay Area and enjoy wines, he delivered a beautiful bottle...

loved staying at this hotel and would recommend to anyone. You can hear some noise from the market stalls opening outside early in the morning but it didnt make the stay unpleasant. The hotel is clean and has a central location you couldn't really ask for better. The breakfast is quite basic but there are planty of other places to...

Considering the overall poor quality of italian hotels, this is a true 4 star hotels. Location is perfect, rooms are absolutely clean and confortable, and the staff are pretty kind and obliging. If anything to say, breakfast could be better. Perfect option as headquarter to visit Florence

While in Florence, my husband and I stayed at the Pierre Hotel. Although slightly pricey, it was worth it as far as location goes. It's located right in the center of Florence but you would never know that inside the hotel. It was very quiet. Our room was large for European standards, the beds quite comfortable, and the service very...

The room and bathroom were enormous, very comfortably furnished, and extremely clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location couldn't have been much better. We were only a five minute walk from almost everything we wanted to see and do.

We stayed 6 nights in Pierre Hotel and it was fantastic. The location was great, walking distance to all historical sites. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and all was made of marble. The breakfast was great and the staff in that hotel were so friendly, polite, and helpful. I would definitely stay in Hotel Pierre for...

I LOVED this hotel. We only spent two nights in Florence, but it was my favorite hotel on our 10 day trek through Italy. The room was HUGE - with a sitting area separate from the bedroom. Plenty of room for us and all of our suitcases, purchases, etc. The staff was very helpful and very nice. Location was great...

I visited the Pierre in June. Via Expedia, I booked a quiet double room for single occupancy for four nights, paying £265 per night in advance. This method has severe drawbacks because there is no recompense for a bad result. I was offered a single room where access was via a flight of stairs - no lift - in the...

Dear Dradon We are very sorry we caused such distressed experience, we always work hard to make everybody feel as welcome as possible, and if things don't work out we try to find a solution during the stay. To note a few points : Our fifth floor ( which is served by two lift ) has been connected last year...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
