From the minute we enter it was all downhill.... check in took forever and we were judged every minute after that... rooms are incredibly small but there was no "room to upgrade too" which is ironic because we ran into by accident people we knew who were visiting and that very same day were told they could be "upgraded" as...

We stayed for four nights in a suite. The room was wonderful, the staff very helpful and courteous. The food was lovely and the interior was a dream. We will definitely go back. You are straight out of the hotel into the centre of Florence right near the Ufizzi and the Duomo. The Ponte Vechio is just a moment away....

I was so excited to stay in this hotel after researching it prior to coming to Florence. It couldn't have fit my sense for adventure any better with its rustic, medieval-like qualities coupled with modernity and sheer elegance. I loved every single thing about this hotel, from the lobby, to the bar, to our stunning room, to the outside facade,...

We stayed for 3 nights. Although unlucky at check in as we arrived at the same time as a large group, we quickly appreciated this beautiful hotel and it's warm and welcoming staff. The building is full of character. Our room was most comfortable and there were views to the cathedral from the shuttered windows. Breakfast was excellent with a...

A big thank you to the management and all the wonderful staff at the Hotel Brunelleschi. My wife and I stayed for three nights to celebrate a special birthday and anniversary and the whole experience was fantastic. Our room had a great view of the Duomo and on arrival a bottle of Prosecco on ice to welcome us. The room...

This Hotel is better than a 5. I do not know why it only has a 4 rating. They are better than any 5 star place we have stayed at and plan to go back. Staff went out of their way everyday to make us happy. Breakfast buffet was the best from all of our visits in Italy

Although we would have preferred the room in the picture in the tower, our room was just fine. The hotel was beautiful! The staff was superb! The breakfast was the best we had in all of Italy and the location couldn't be better. The dining was excellent...both restaurants but especially the Ristorante Santa Elisabetta which was so incredibly romantic.

Just returned from this unusual Hotel Brunelleschi in the heart of Florence. This was our second visit and same room by chance, overlooking the Duomo. Perfect position for sightseeing although expensive. Extremely helpful staff, polite and friendly at the front desk. Wi fi was useless which may have been this weekend? Shame the coffee in the reception has been taken...

Wow what a place. Just back from a long weekend and can't say enough good things. So we arrived and check in was super smooth and the bags are taken away so you don't have to worry. The staff explain bout the hotel and the local area not to mention the museum and history. Then you get the rooms. From...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
