A fantastic stay in the heart of Florence. Upon arrival the welcome was professional and warm. The staff on front all speak English, which is brilliant as my italian is very limited to a greeting and a way of saying thank you. We were quietly hoping for an upgrade. But that wasn't offered, but then that's not expected either! We... More

First let me say I've stayed at many, many places over the years and I have rarely given a 5 Star review. This place is an exception and well deserving. We stayed here as the last stop of our 25th Anniversary tour of Europe. Little did we know, we saved the best for last. I had originally reserved a deluxe... More

This lovely hotel has it all; a fabulous view of the Duomo, prime location, historical significance, ambiance and service. The staff; especially Paulus and Dario, went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. The room was comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast was more than ample and everyone connected to the hotel went out of their way to ensure our... More

We were fortunate enough to spend 6 days in this hotel in May. A friend had updated us to a suite with a view of the Duomo what a treat. Trip to the room meant two elevators, two long corridors and steps so be prepared. Room was lavish and very clean with turn down service at night, large bath and... More

Not a cheap stay, but you get what you pay for. Unbeatable location means that you can pop in and out during the day for a rest and a cool down. Staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast excellent, room (deluxe) and bathroom spacious and with all the extras you would expect at this standard. Our view was directly across the... More

The hotel is a wonderful blend of "new contemporary" and "old history". Great location to sites in the city. Great service and friendly staff. The room was a bit small, but well done and to be expected when you are staying in teh heart of a renanssiance city.

Twenty eight years ago, I walked by this hotel and said I will stay there someday. In 2008 I did get a two night stay and upgraded to a suite. Very nice, though a bit dated at that time since it was before their remodel. Then I returned in 2013 for three or four nights and again last week for... More

I wanted to start to write this review before I even reached the airport! Once our booking was confirmed Paulus (the Suite Manager) contacted us to introduce himself (with a photo, good idea) and asking for our choices of pillows, room temperature, fruit for the room and room scents. Off to a good start. Paulus then followed up with a personal... More

The Brunellschi is hidden in the center of Florence in a very small plaza off a very small street (really an ally). This is very nice because you can escape the nearby crowds and the hotel is quiet! Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
