Traveling with a large family of 15. We arrived at the Hotel Brunelleschi prior to the posted check-in time. They had at least one room per family ready for us. Guest rooms are small but beds are comfortable. Our rooms in the mid-price range had a sitting area with two chairs, desk and chair, king-sized bed, hardwood floors. No view,...

My husband, 2 teens, and I stayed here a few weeks ago in interconnecting family rooms (one with a king, and the other with 2 twins). Our rooms were stylishly updated, comfortable, and clean. Even though we were right in the heart of everything with lots going on outside the hotel, the rooms were quiet and we all had a...

Very good hotel in a central location with easy access to attractions. Although we booked a twin room we were allocated a "compact" double. We requested an upgrade to a larger room which was granted two nights later when one became available. We would like to mention the excellent and friendly staff and especially Antonella on reception who could not...

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel was stylish and chic with great service and staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a suite which was a great start and we had a complimentary bottle of prosecco in our room. The suite was lovely with a great view and huge bed. The hotel was lovely,...

Our experience at this hotel was TOP NOTCH!!! This was one of four hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon throughout Italy. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and accommodating (which we found hard to find at other hotels we stayed at). The hotel itself is gorgeous and very well kept with very attentive, honest housekeeping (turn down service was wonderful...

This is a quaint boutique hotel which presents well, but lacks the features that I expect from such an establishment. Our room was absolutely tiny, with not a single drawer for storage. The bathroom door could not be fully opened, nor could a person stand between the 2 beds. The hotel has no iron to loan guests and charges 7...

Our experience at the Brunelleschi ended wonderfully, even though it began with a misstep: when we arrived we had no room. But they immediately found another five star hotel, paid for our taxi there and our room for the night. Then they arranged for a room for us at their hotel, all at their expense. The room was wonderful, and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
